Now this is something l have not heard of before....................
English person goes into the job centre looking for work, only to be told to go to the other office and get a work permit !!!! how long as Cyprus been in the EU l know they thing that EU law stands for nothing here, but this is somewhat pushing the boundries don't you think?

Dear Sweetie, as an EU citizen you can start work right away .

There is no requirement for a WORK PERMIT !!!

You should get a letter when you find an employer , stamped by them, that you are an employee , and your approx wages, and thae it to the local labour office to get a National insurance number

If you intend to stay more than 3 months, then one must get forms MEU1 and MEU 7 from the immigration people - they will give you an appt and you go back armed with the bits of paper and photos they'll give you and you will eventually get a yellow slip and ID card.
