Zan. I really couldnt tell the difference. The head gear looks TC. The waist band and shirt look TC. The moustache, possibly GC. I hope its not a family member.

Zan. I really couldnt tell the difference. The head gear looks TC. The waist band and shirt look TC. The moustache, possibly GC. I hope its not a family member.

They are good pictures and I love faces. To me the top one looks Greek and the other Turkish. I mean...Look at the guy's expression at the top...Does it say "I have my foreskin" or not :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

I did come to the same conclusion, then feared that they may be related to you. I stopped in my tracks. The head dress of the bottom one is TC. The untidy fez would be GC.

The Moulded (kalip) Turkish fez is usually worn by the 'efendis' and the non- molded fez by the christians. Sarik (headscarf) wrap around the head usually TC. If black usually white. I suppose it all depends on their radition or geneology.
Did you see the thread Lena posted about the Exhibition in Nicosia. Swedish Explorers photographs of 80 years ago.
My niece has organised it and soon I hope to receive some of the photos for the Forum.

I wish Halil would go to this exhibition at 22 Mahkemeler Onu. (the Old Onar Is Hani) Lefkosa.

You also might be right. Who knows. Who has the originals? Any hint on the back. Latin script or Ottoman?

They are both GC mountaineers from the village of Prodromos near the summit of Olympus.. :wink:

Not so long ago i posted these photos and the relevant page from the book they were published..
