Fires in Greece - Coordinated arsonists?

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

Postby Eliko » Tue Aug 28, 2007 4:14 pm

2,000 leftist protesters marched through Athens to the parliament demanding the ousting of the government.

PASOK leader George Papandreou has accused the government of 'Incompetence' in dealing with the fires and relevant emergencies, (politics at work again 'eh, any excuse to score a point).

God help us all, we are led to believe that we are in control of our leaders.

Is this the time to be seeking political scalps while the fires are raging and people are dying?, the coming elections should be of secondary importance at this particular moment.

Oh come on....Tell Karamanlis he can kiss my ass....The audacity they have to blame the fires on leftish people...Instead of admiting their total incopitence....

I was actually hoping Karamanlis would burn alive when he was caught in the fires in Zaharo.

The government sparked off the protests by claiming that the fires constituted an "asymmetrical threat" to Greece. What a joke! What a cheap, if not fancy excuse, to shed the responsibility of inaction. I think Karamanlis will pay the ultimate price, just like the Spanish Prime Minister of the right that lost to the socialists after the spate of bombings in Madrid.

Lazy to browse previous pages, but from what i've heard... the bill which would ban any construction on the land which was burned - never passed. I wonder who is behind...
