Your parents didn't teach you about how people are born T_C? The population of earth in general almost doubled during those years. Maybe we are having immigrants from outer space?

People at those times, especially in the undeveloped countries like Cyprus was, were have many children, not just 1,2 or 3 like now.

deniz, I don't see how TCs are excluded when all Cypriots will be equal without racist discriminations. Who are excluded now are the GCs from the north part of their homeland, thats whats wrong.

I want all the people who claims to be Greek or Turk to live the Island. Whoever realize that we are all Cypriots, regardless what language they speak, they are the only ones can lift the division for good on the island

this is nonsense actually, how can a cypriot who is greek forget his own culture, identity, history, blood so that there can be a fake cypriot nationality compromising greeks and turks in the stupid belief that this will lead to peace...comon wake up......only tolerating and respecting each others identities as greeks and turks will provide a solution......we are cypriots in the same sense as a bosnian croat or serb is a bosnian or a kosovar albanian is a kosovar

and the serbs,kosovans and croats live in peace ...please ...they dont ...

if anything ,..the YUGOSLAV MODEL IS THE BEST EXAMPLE OF THE FUTURE

there is no period of peace between the cultures for the last 100 years

mainy claim on this forum ,The british only turned the two on each other .... sorry there are records of ethnic clashes since the independence of Greece int he 1800-1920s and the cultures do not co exist peacfully .

Many a Turkish cypriot ,who i speak to ...come over to the south to work ...and complain of £££ exploitation by the Greeks for cheap labour ...and be spoken down to all day long ...some thing i have witnessed too

bro where did you get these figures from ....certainly there was never much for acurate figures for cyprus between 1870-1930 ...due to records being lost and burnt by UK COLONIALS ...
bro ...you must of been waxing your butt when you wrote this ...surely you can work out this ...many people in 20s and 30s went away to work in europe (there was this thing called a depression !!! then
between those 1930- 1946 years we had two world wars ,huge migration out of cyprus to the arab states for work and europe ...and then in 1947 thousands returned with their families etc ....

How many Cyps when to Britain/U.S in the 50s ... 1000s ...so if anything the population of both sides will have swung wildly ...over these years

Greece never sent Greeks to CYPRUS ...unlike Turkish military plans in the 70s/80s where you guys had an influx of some 100000s Turks

Also ...the figure is 700000 in the south ....330000 in the north

A recent figure for 2015 estimate we will be 1million in the south and 600000 by then ....
