Coming in/Going out

Postby RRichie » Thu Aug 23, 2007 7:22 pm

Daily Mail today
574,000 The number who came to live in the UK in one year. (excluding the thousands of illegal immigrants)
196,000 The number of British citizens who in the same year chose to leave the country to seek a new life.
Top destinations are Australia, Spain, America, New Zealand and France. If the Cyprus tourist board got its act together there could be a housing boom in Cyprus?
Just a thought

I was told there already was one when we were buying ours,
but with the new VAT on land / new marina's / golf courses / euro conversion and the influx of rich east europeans,
I think a boom is almost certain next year

Those are some very big countries. If you do the calculation based on immigrants per square kilometer or immigrants per local population then I am sure Cyprus will be in the top list ;)
