not really ...i have fond memories of the cold war ....i wanted to ask how many people remember ....the cold war last time round

i grew up in london ... i got nuclear bunker training and was forced to watch "threads " scared the crap out of me ....

people had more jobs in them days ...sainsburys provided car parks for war zone training ...

fond memories of going mountain walks in scotland with the school ... and the silence interupted by MIG 21S BEING CHANCED BY TORNADO JETS ETC .....

SEE ITS ALREADY A GENERAL CHAT ...

Well, I've lived through a real war - and been on active service - and I can assure you war is no fun. Certainly I have no fond memories of war, the destruction, the death, the privation, the un-Christian hatred. You youngsters haven't a clue what it is all about.

really ...i was in iraq 91 ...and kosovo and i recently 2003 visited IRAQ ... ..i did not say it was fun but rather that i was in awe of it all ... the cold war was not a war but an era off unease ...what i remember was the strange times we lived in ....seeing fighter jump jets training outside your school .

catholic priests telling you that you had to join the army to defend " England " free world agaisnt commie agression ...and yes i joined the army ...the british army ....in 90 ...some months later off to IRAQ...THEN KOSOVO ...FUN THAT WAS ? NOT !!!!!

mock dog fight over london suburbs in the 80s ...

military manuverves in your neighbourhood
