Yiannis Shekersavas, EAC district director for Larnaca and Famagusta, said that a number of Turkish Cypriots living in Pyla had “arbitrarily” stopped paying their electricity bills to the EAC, while new homes being built there were being illegally connected to the grid.

I can see where the above actions would not be tolerated in a United Cyprus.

Then again, I would like to know where on Earth, that they are tolerated.

Just a short list of countries will do.

ABOUT TIME THEY CUT OFF THEIR POWER ....ALSO ...HOW ABOUT THE TRNC ...PAY US £175MILLION IN UNPAID DUES ...

The TURKISH MILITARY ...more than likely would like to encourage this non bill paying i suppose ...

Might i also add ...that i have already hinted that the TRNC/MILITARY HAVE stepped up their blatant disregard to international agreements on the island ..
this is another example along with 34 other issues in the last few months

a lot of the TCS On this forum ...constantly tells us GCS how selfish etc we are ...

yet in the past year ...nearly every issue of disturbance investigated by UN MILITARY POLICE - has been against the pseudo state ..from illegal police harresment of GCs visiting their homes in the north ...to grey wolves symbols being paraded in SBA LAND

AT ONE TIME ..MOST U.N AND AUDITORS TOOK A BALANCE VIEW ...THAT HAS CHANGED IN THE LAST 9 MONTHS

before you all point a finger ...look at who has done the most to begin these peace talks ...

only the because the turkish military control the north side ...do they not follow up with similar gestures ....in case they upset the uniforms

on top of the village only Turkish Cypriot Security forces are stationed.there is no troops from Turkey.Those soldiers are standing on the hills are only protection troopes for TC's community that lives in PİLE village.They are staying on the hills by the agreement between UN and other parties.The place is in the British controlled area.
most of them gets their food and other needs from Northern Cyprus.İn these days British troopes are barricading on the Beyarmudu Gate to stop any food or other staff to pass them. They are holding a demonstrations at check point now protesting British authorities. They are under the embargoes as well now. these events are happening at the moment that we are trying to show the world how they are living together without problem.
if 'ROC' government lives them alone i am sure they can live in peace.'ROC' government tries to rule TC's as well ,Which they don't want it.
Every communities must be ruled by their own community under the UN umbrella.

It is very easy to mistaken the troops on the hill as being "Turkish Troops" since there is the cut-out of Ataturk next to the soldiers overlooking the village of Pile/Pyla.

Why do you suppose, Turkish Cypriot Soldiers would have a Ataturk cut-out next to them.??

i don't care about Ataturk head. i do care , what are trying to do TC's community in Pile.That place is only under the control of the UN. Not control of the 'ROC'. this is the point.U must ask to 'ROC' representitive why they are interfering TC's in Pile.Both sides has got own Muhtar's and adminstration in the Pile.By the agreements only UN can control everything not 'ROC' police or other branches of the 'ROC'Try to see the things sometimes from other side of the coin.
