How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Like most countries you need tourists.

Most of you young Cypriots have or are attending our Universities, we don't tell you where not to go and treat you badly, like something we have just trodden in!

We are entitiled to visit where we like, if people don't like it then tuff. Get a life.

Hi Lovecyprus
Don't let all this put you off from visiting Cyprus, you obviously love the Island to have returned 14 times. I saw this thread start and as soon as I saw the heading of Northern Cyprus I saw trouble ahead. Personally I don't agree with visiting the North until everything is sorted out (if ever ) but you have every right to travel wherever you want.

humanist, i am not violating your rights. still u did not answer my question.i did say that u have no rights to ask about yours. but you have no rights to tell everybody not to go north Cyprus. how we can trust u.
u are always blaming TC's.When Cyprus problem sorted out everything will be more understanable.we showed our willing by saying YES to Annan Plan.Don't find me many excuses for it.

Are u all thinking that Turkish Cypriots does not have any land in northern Cyprus (deeds). we are not able to build up a hotel or anything on our own lands .everything u see in the north does it belongs to Greek Cypriots ? none Cypriots do u know that Turkish Cypriots also left their homes, and lands in South Cyprus ? (in Limassol,Larnaka,Paphos ,etc... etc)

Halil, I agree with what you said about TC's also having their own land in the North, pre 1974 deeds, but unfortunately when you make the above statement, then it is also fair to finish the sentence by saying,

"that almost all the TC's have been compensated by GC land in the North for the TC land left behind in the South, in a so called "land exchange", where as the GC's have not been compensated in the North, aside from maybe 20+ GC's ."

That is correct, is it not.??

Your very naive simple question was not simple, but very insensitive. How dare you come to this board, or any other for that matter and seek advice about stolen property, and then play the innocent.

As for your views changing, well i think they pretty much stink, if you thought you could just ask away with no consideration of anyones suffering and losses.

Yes Cyprus does need tourists but it doesn't need crooks as well, there are plenty of them in the North, running away from the law.

Universities, yes lets just say, first we pay for the F education so you are screwing us anyway, secondly, if i had a cent for every "you F greek bastard" or "F foreigner" being said to me i would be richer than Ambomovich (or whatever the spelling is). Finally, If i was gonna enter your grandmother/grandfathers house , kick them out and have a holiday there, i am sure YOU would have something to say. And THATS exactly what you are planning to do.

As for not coming to cyprus, like i said good bye and good riddence, crooks like you we can all do without.

As for getting a life, mine fine, hows yours?

It is illegal to build a hotel in North Cyprus, even in TC land, because a licence is needed to do so. A licence from an illegal regime like the "TRNC" is illegal. Everything you do is illegal. The only legal authority is the RoC. TCs were not forced to live the free part of RoC by GCs. They were forced by Turkey. Therefore go ahead and ask the turkish government to answer your question.

lovecyprus, look at it this way. On your return from a holiday you find out some family has moved into your house and there is nothing you can do to get them out, so you have to start a new life living in your garden shed. Then someone comes along and knocks on your shed door and tells you he will visit his friends who live in YOUR HOUSE and asks questions whether your house is nice on the inside. How would you react I wonder.

Kurupetos, it looks that u don't know that we were seperated since 1964. even that time there was a 2 adminstration in Cyprus. we did have our own education system, our own football leaque , muhtars and MP's and our people ruled by the cemaat meclisi up to 1974.we were geting a licence to build a house or apertment or hotel or anything related with buildings from office called KAYMAKAMLIK. u got miss information.
1974-1983 our ruling system called OTONOM TÜRK YÖNETİMİ . İt is easy to sat TC's were not force to live from 'ROC' come and ask this question to those people why they left their homes. Ask it to your self about ATLİLAR and MURATAGA villages.we ,both sides suffered from this bloody things.see the both side of the coin. we never interfare that people are visiting your side leave them alone that they can see everything with their own eyes.
last week we did have visitors from Malta, they said that they are in shock.all things that they heard from their Greek friends wer completly different. they talk with their friends on the phone and they are coming next weekend with 8 of them.
we have word '' Yalancının Mumu Yatsıya Kadar Yanar'' i know someone will translate this one to u.my english is not that much good.

Halil,

All those authorities you claim are illegal but even if they were legal the TC land in the "TRNC" is only 16.7%. Do you think that the "TRNC" utilizes only that percentage? I don't think so. 8)
