You obviously realise you are holidaying in illegal territory, held by force by some 40,000+ troops, yet you still choose to do so. Shame on you.

The place you are likely to be staying at could well belong to a GC and being denied the right to return.

Have you asked the owners permission ? No ? thought not, as long as you get your F cheap holiday you couldn't give a rats arse.

F You, hope it turns out to be shit.

Theiving git.

And before any one comes to their defence TC or GC, same to you to. This is the kind of behaviour that prolongs the solution to both sides. The TCs think it is in their favour to promote it, but in the long run it ain't. The GC government, as shit as they are, should take more action on situations like this, but hey as long as they get their salaries paid regularly they don't care anyway. You obviously realise you are holidaying in illegal territory, held by force by some 40,000+ troops, yet you still choose to do so. pantheman, well pointed out but as a greek speaking Cypiot / Australian planning on a holiday to Cyprus, you laid the guilt trip on me man. I was planning on visiting the north to visit Apostolos Andreas the place I was baptised as a baba, and also my grandmothers home in Xero, but now, I have to reconsider.

Let me just make something clear to many people on this subject.

My problem is mainly with non GCs /TCs who holiday in the north, spending their entire time there like there is no problem.

Many GCs have reasons (even though personally i still dont agree with) to want to pay a visit, which is different than a holiday. I even had a dis agreement with my farther in law for visiting, and his reason was he wanted to visit his mothers grave after so many years of not being able to. Fair enough, i can understand that. Humanist, do visit Apostolos Andreas and your ancesteral home, you are entitled to, I have no problem with this sort of necessity visits.

I have not claimed that TCs don't have deeds to land, but i am pretty sure it doesn't extend to 37% of the island.

As for the TC land at the airport, great, get rid of the troops, reunite cyprus and i'll help you fight to get it back.

But please, i am sure you all know what i am talking about. Here is a person, who claims to have come to cyprus for 14 years and then plays stupid to holiday in the illegal territories. Look TC guys, which ever way you look at this, it is a pseudo state, you know it , i know it, the world knows it. Encouraging people to holiday there, buy property there does nothing for the long term solotion. You are looking for recognition via the back door thats all it comes down to.

I detest these types of people who deliberately holiday and buy there in the face of the GC AND TC sufferings. So no, i don't wish them a good time, because it is people like them that rub it in my face and stop me going home.

I still stand by what i said earlier too.

Pantheman

there are more GC's who cross to the nightclubs and casinos in the north than there are non-cypriot tourists visit the north.

You cant say dont stay in a hotel that used to belong to a GC in one hand but on the other its ok to land at an airport which is built on land which belonged to a TC. It sounds hypocritical to say the least.

It might be better if we give Cyprus a miss in the future, what started of as a perfectly simple question has now got totally out of hand.

Believe me my veiws have now completely changed.

Like most countries you need tourists.

Most of you young Cypriots have or are attending our Universities, we don't tell you where not to go and treat you badly, like something we have just trodden in!

We are entitiled to visit where we like, if people don't like it then tuff. Get a life.

The argument about the airport does not wash for me, you invited Turkey to invade our country, we needed an aiport we built one. We do not each and everyday seel your homes and land that is the difference, If a solution is found you wil be reimbursed for the lasd you lost for the aiport. And you willbe able to use the airport to access the EU and other nations around the globe.

lovecyprus I don't know how long it takes from Larnaca but it will definately be a coach and not a mini bus. I've travelled with Cyprus Paradise before. They'll really look after you. Hope you have a good time. :D
