Free to Hang Only the Trnc Flag...

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Free to Hang Only the Trnc Flag...

Postby BirKibrisli » Tue Aug 21, 2007 3:52 pm

Kamil Hur (surname means Free) is an unusual TC...
He lives in the Trnc but believes that only by returning to the 1960 agreement will we have a just and lasting solution.

Every year on the anniversary of the founding of the Republic,Mr Hur hangs the Cyprus flag on his house. And every year the TC police come and take it down, confiscate the flag, and arrest him.

This year was a bit different. One August 16th Mr Hur hung the Cyprus flag as usual but together with the Greek,Turkish, the EU,and the British flags... As usual the TC police came, confiscated everything, and arrested him...They seem to have no sense of humour in the trnc...And Mr Free is not free to hang his beloved Cyprus flag, not even amongst all the others...

Well...apparently he calls himself "a Turkish -speaking Cypriot".
He believes that Britain and Greece are as responsible for the present situation as Turkey.

Britain for using the nationalism tool to divide us;Greece for sending Greek soldiers to Cyprus and organising the coup against Makarios;and Turkey for the obvious reasons...He believes Cypriots should take all 3 so-called "guarantors" to international courts for their role in subverting the will of the Cypriot nation...Interesting fellow. 8)

This guy sounds like a proper cypriot. I'm GC and agree totaly with his views. If Greece, Turkey, UK and US didnt involve themselves with Cyprus we would all be living together in Cyprus. We've proved this in the UK. I've had TC mates for over thirty years now. These guy's are like brothers to me. It's a shame people in both communitys dont have the same view. GC's in cyprus blame TC for all the problems. TC's in cyprus blame GC's for all the problems. In fact both communitys were used by the UK, Greece & Turkey to get to where we are now. Why dont our so called mother states just fu'k off and leave us be and I'm sure we can all get on.

See it from the other side/ Cyprus problem could be solved if the so called "Cypriots" do not intervene or do not stay in Cyprus. Only Greeks and Turks to be allowed

Epsilon,,

We tried that formula and it has not exactly worked wonders!

Mr Hur obvioiusly has a sense of humor, reminiscent of Nasreddin Hoca and his wisdom. And he also has guts, more than most poeple, to challenge the regime and be willing to sufffer the consequences on a matter of principle.

On a note about the British role in Cyprus and its future effects on us all. Britain does not support the idea of a European constitution. Yet Britain went to great lengths to insert clauses in the draft European constitution that decrees that the Sovereign Base Area in Cyprus is and will remain British territory. Wake up Cypriots, they are playing us on an each way bet!

My dear friend, I do not have anything against Mr Hur, I wanted just to say exactly what you are saying in your last line!!!

And what would be your ideal solution after the "Cypriots" have been taken out of their own country??? Partition?
