Moving to Cyprus...Please help!!

Postby erlinem » Mon Aug 20, 2007 8:09 pm

Hello....

I will be moving to Cyrpus in mid-September for school (Cyprus College). I am asking for some advice on how the community is out there. Also I am an African American woman, will I have any problems living in the area?

Thanks!!

Hello erlinem, are you friend with magazine??

We already told to magazine that you will not have any problem living here.

But in case you have no idea about Cyprus and the area near your college and you are not friend of magazine...well here it is a usuful link with bits of humor.

No problem, just be prepared for a LOT of personal questions that would drop an American in his tracks. Like how much money you make, how much you are paying for things etc. Oh yeah, cars are right hand drive, which means you have to be careful when you cross streets. I live in a left hand drive country and forgot, nearly got mys elf squashed a few times crossing streets looking the wrong way.

Hey paliometoxo...I am having holidays here ... well I need to get as much sun as I can because on 6th i am flighting back in UK. Yes I know about the weather...my friends there keep emailing me and texting me how the weather is...no summer clothes in UK...What are you doing in UK by the way?

By the way ..it was like that almost all summer...you could count the sunny days in your hand. Poor British...and then they call them kruokolous
