I take your point (though I guess that you meant to write "injunction" not interjection), but that is a bit of a sophist argument. Killing is not good for the health and wellbeing of the target. The target here is clearly stated as being 'Turks', not anyone else. Turk here is used as a racial category. To say 'Kill Turks' is, definitely on that score, racist.

If the poster had said "Kill everyone" then there'd be no racial element to this ! If the poster had said 'Kill inferior Turks' then that would presumably leave superior Turks safe and therefore the target would not be Turks per se, as a racial category, but "inferiors' who happened to be Turks. What about 'inferiors' who were not Turks, would they be safe ?

phoenix I think you are delluding yourself to suggest that a coment such as the one in discussion now, painted on a wall does not make it racist. It is also a delusion to assume that there is a country on our planet that does not have racists living within it. This includes Cyprus. We have seen racists on this forum shouting slurs on both sides of the divide. Personally I find it concerning nd would have found it concerning if it said kill greeks/ jews/ or english.

the right thing to do is for the municipality to get rid of it immediately and for the municiplaity to look for those responsible and punish them.

Graffiti is always an eye sore , but when some stupid bastard incites hatred against a race of people or even worst against his own country men then it becomes absurdly obscene.
We must do all we can to discourage and condemn such irresponsible exhibition.
The T/Cs are the only ones that can liberate the occuppied part of Cyprus , messages of hatred directed at them are highly unlikely to promote such motives. Grow up Cyprus !
