Archbishop Chrysostomos B'

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Archbishop Chrysostomos B'

Postby Bananiot » Sun Aug 19, 2007 9:25 pm

The Archbishop is well known for his big mouth. He managed to climb to this position after bearly getting 5% of the popular vote, but using all kinds of byzantine intrique, he managed to get the crown.

Today, he has accused the "Politis" newspaper for being a Greek language Turkish newspaper. You see, the word Turk is a dirty word on our side. APOEL supporters, for example, accuse the Omonoia supporters of beeing Turks. There is no other insult as powerful as this. It is the ultimate insult.

Andreas Paraschos, the chief editor of "Politis" accused of him of behaving like a Taliban instead of a moderate Greek Orthodox priest.

Hi Bananiot,

Is this not the creation of your education system? Is it not a case of brainwashing innocent kids with hatred for their fellow man?

This will never change. I cant see the parents at home, teachers at school and most importantly priests in church saying they were wrong all along and the Turks/TCs are in fact human just like the Greeks and they deserve equal rights and respect just like any Greek/GC.

Btw, nice meeting you in Flo's, hopefully we'll do it again soon

Nice meeting you too Mr_from_Ng. I am sure we will see each other again. Perhaps the snake can come along. I promise I will not try to change his twisted view of the world.

His only power are his money and the sheep that blindly follow him. In fact if the great majority of Cypriot people decide they could take all his power and most of his money away. (I am in favor of this to happen by the way. Unfortunately the great majority of Cypriots do not agree with me on this, and therefore I have to respect their wish. I hope those people will change their mind one day)

But imagine if we accept something like Annan plan where an equally small amount of people (9% - most of whom could be settlers) would be able not just to say their opinion (as is the right of everybody after all) but forcefully block all democratic choices of the Cypriot people!

You tried to cover your ass by saying that wrong is right as long as it is the majority that wants it. Ever thought of doing the right thing regardless of majority. You then call others sheep.

And where did I say that somebody expressing his opinion is wrong?

If there are sheep that will do whatever the Archbishop or "the party" or the AngloAmericans etc say, thats not the fault of the one who is expressing the opinion, but that of the fools that blindly accept it.

In democracy everybody is free to say his opinion, and beyond that the citizens should be smart enough (and free) to make their own judgment.
