If there are sheep that will do whatever the Archbishop or "the party" or the AngloAmericans etc say, thats not the fault of the one who is expressing the opinion, but that of the fools that blindly accept it.
In democracy everybody is free to say his opinion, and beyond that the citizens should be smart enough (and free) to make their own judgment.
It is the ease with which you said that you respect their wish. If it is wrong then tell them they are wrong and sod the democracy. It is your democratic right. Help them realise the wrong in what they are doing.
