This is a 2 way thing and not just the Turks throwing rocks at Greeks...They throw rocks at eachother and it's just a normal part of guarding the borders.

I threw a few myself

This is a 2 way thing and not just the Turks throwing rocks at Greeks...They throw rocks at eachother and it's just a normal part of guarding the borders.

2-3 years ago I was sent as a reservist to guard at an outpost behind Faneromenis church (211?) where I had to do the 2.00am..4.00am time slot.

The young lads there warned me to wear my steel helmet although you normally only wear the plastic based inner section of it! I asked why and they explained… “Because your head may end up split open from the shower of rocks you might get sometime in the morning hours!”… Is that a fact I thought? :?

Well, lo and behold at around 3.00am 3-4 rocks came tumbling down aimlessly near the guard post and I instinctively turned and shouted... “Hoi!” in a REALLY loud voice in the dead of night and funnily enough no more rocks landed that morning!

I threw a few myself

Why you little.... that was you wasn't it???
