I did not notice the USA bombing the UK to kill off the 'home grown' Al Qaeda, where they were more successful.

I think you would think twice about your comments concerning USA if you watched John Pilger's "War on Democracy" on ITV last night!

What a powerful program - it lasted for about 1 hr 45 mins. I do not believe they defend anyone's freedon except their own. The retired chief of CIA plainly states: "what democracy? we do not care about democracy in another nation! Our national interests come first!" - meaning the national interests of other nations don't mean a shit! The national interests he referred to here were clearly economic ones.

I am trying to get a link to the program (if there is one) and I'll post the URL if I get one...

I saw Pilger's programme. Indeed, it was very powerful and plainly stated what many already know. On the programme, I remember a retired CIA official stating: "Democracy didn't mean a thing to us. And I don't believe it does today."

The programme went on to outline that the US had overthrown many legitimate democracies in South America and replaced them with fascist dictators who persecuted the people. Pilger went on to identify an American empire that was just as brutal and domineering as those of the past.

I refer you to my earlier response to these suggestions; Let me know when the US will bomb the UK. There are more Al-Qaeeda in the UK, and more succesful, than the total TC population of Cyprus.
