I have recently heard that there is some sort of committee which makes decisions about how Larnaca should be run as a town. The person who told me he was on this committee and that he had been instrumental in getting gay cruising areas floodlit and the trees and bushes cut back to stop this activity. The interesting thing was that this guy is a 21 y/o camp queen himself and says that we should all go to bars and clubs (there aren't any of course) Can anyone tell me if such a committe exists and who elects it and what it's functions are?

The municipal committee? If thats the one then people elect them when they elect a mayor.
