Difficult to explain but all you can see is an orange light travelling quite fast for about 5 minutes in a straight line, in the direction of Protaras over the sea and then dipping and dissapearing. It flys at an altitude you would expect a plane to fly at.

We guessed they're some sort of missile tests.

Could it be some kids messing about with fireworks. I don't know what else to say???

no chance, this thing is propelled somehow. I'm gonna give the police a call and see if they come up with something. Don;t be surprised if this is all over the papers soon;

Well have a good look around the beach and see if you can retrieve anything that might have fallen there.

i don;t do manual labour when on holiday. You'll be lucky if i make myself a frappe.

God you're bloody lazy... get yourself a colostomy bag; it'll save you a few more trips during the day! :lol:

The Perseid Meteor Showers are peaking at the moment.

We watched the display over about two hours the other night.

Every 5 to 10 minutes you see much as you described shooting across the sky.

Check it out, I am sure that's what you saw. :)
