Halil Agha

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Nothing changed for them since the middle ages. They still like to invade and occupy the lands of others, but in the end the biggest losers are their own people who have to live in a 3rd world Nazi state.

That said, I think the discrimination between "Turks" and "Christians" was obvious during the Ottoman rule. Not only the Christians paid 2 times more taxes, but they were also discriminated against in many other ways. A Christian testimony was not accepted in the courts for example. It was natural that many Christians would be forced to change religion to have a better life, and the result was "Turkish" Cypriots.

You really need to get out from behind your computer more

I am surprised! The Turks were neglected peasants, in fact among the poorest in Ottoman empire... Really, please search it out.

I personally have this really bizarre way of measuring how expansionist a state is. My strange an incomprehensible method for measuring how expansionist a state is would be to measure in sq km how much it HAS expanded since it's founding as a state. Of course such a stupid way of measuring how expansionist a state is must be total nonsense, for it might actually show Greece as having been MORE expansionist than Turkey or in fact more expansionist than ANY modern nation state in the history of modern nation states. So clearly measuring now expansionist a state is by measuring how much it has expanded must be idiocy of a grand scale.
