Sotos sodoff: Off thread

Sotos is entitled to throw in his critique. :)
Cor blimey, I wish you Turks would just stop ordering us about tonight. You are really getting on my t...... tether!

Considering you are the one, Den of Inequity, who led to the emergence of this thread, you had better get your thinking cap on and come up with a worthy Hero-Turk (and I will refrain from calling that an oxymoron).

Well, are there any Turks that anyone worships or are you all cowering behind your politically correct labels of True-Cypriots.

Alparslan for one, the hero of Manzikert/Malazgirt circa 1071, comes to mind, one of many. I could name others, but I would not want to give you the satisfaction. Just a mild reminder of things to come. A medieval solder/gentleman.

Thanks Denizaksulu, I knew you would come up tramps. :)

But, for educational purposes, please share some details that make him great in your eyes.
I for one know absolutely nothing about this putative Hero-Turk.

I dont know why I bother. Do a google search.

Now listen T-C. :!:
You have had your nomination, so don't try to sway the judges (yet to be decided).

By constant repetition you may do more harm to your chances.

Oh, and it has come to my notice that you have still not done your homework on supplying more details. Only facts will help you win the Prize.

Now let me read up about your competitor Alparslan, nominated by Den.

Well!
Now you see by being defeatist when it comes to making a case, you only nourish any prejudices that people may harbour about the scholastic capabilities of the newly-emerging aspirant-Europeans.

(Bloody Turks to me, but there you go, I'm always willing to be proved wrong).

What celebrations? When Makarios died in 1977 I was in England and 12 years old! During the 74 invasion I lived in a place you now call "Kirklar" (next to the airport).
