does anyone know of any drawing/ painting classes in or around larnaca?

Try the curiosity house. They advertise in the cyprus weekly/sunday mail for classes. Also Dhekalia bases offer classes.

Epimorfotiko, is a government sceme and very cheap (about £30 a years course) and they do drawing and painting classes.

Wait till September, the Ministry of Education and Culture will have a variety of art courses all over Cyprus.

Can anyone recommend a place to buy large oil paintings at a reasonable price?

Try any of the art colleges. I bought a beautiful oil painting from a student that came door knocking last year. The price he quoted was purely to cover the costs of the canvas and oils, and we were both pleased with the transaction!
