Paaul12 Just does not wish to see another Greek Kataklysmos, thats all! Nor do we for that matter. In war only the innocents suffer. Havent we had enough. Stop sabre rattling.

Thank you for explaining Paaaaaaaaaul12's outburst, my dear Dirty Den, but we were discussing Cyprus proposing improving its defences. After all, we have 40,000 Dirty Mongrels in our country.....and they are not on vacation!

I know only the innocents suffer in wars and I woould never advocate war. I am proud to say Cyprus has never gone on the OFFENSIVE.

But who had the last war with Cyprus, which is still ongoing since the invaders are still around.

Defence improvements are not sabre rattling. But you don't seem to have left when we have asked nicely. That's soooooo RUDE!

And yes, we have had enough; if you also have had enough of your "guests" please, you ask them to leave then, because they are ignoring the Indigenous Cypriots requests.

I most definately want most of them to leave. The good ones who want to make a life for themselves in Cyprus and work like normal people can stay. But theres TOO MUCH of those that walk around looking like cavemen with their shorts and canoe style leather shoes with no socks on :puke:

Those people dont belong in Cyprus and its almost as if Turkeys sent the people they dont want in Turkey to Cyprus  Thats SOOOOOOO not cool!

Some of the settlers have been on Cyprus from day one.The Greek side would be foolish to believe that people who have spent all their lives in Cyprus would leave. That would not be workable in a future solution either.

I see no reasons for the settlers to leave today the island specially the people who where born on the Island.

I completely agree with you SN...but have you been to the north recently? We have a serious settler problem. Theres tooooooo many. The ones who have been in Cyprus from day one are FINE, the ones who come to Cyprus and settle in with the rest of us are FINE.

But theres far too many who just dont want to fit in, this isnt good.

Right i do agree with the over-settling of the Island,on the other hand i hear that more and more TC abandon the island bsc of your non-recognition,so i would say that the Turkish element has no problem surviving there. On the contrary, the TC element is in danger.....sadly...

I don't know if it's because of TCs leaving the island or because of too many settlers but theres just too many of them to turn a blind eye to SN.

If we dont find a solution soon Cyprus will be ruined FOREVER!

Groucho was definately a better comedian than you, Den. It was a bad joke, wasn't it?

There may be peace SN but until there is a just peace acceptable to both sides there will never be a solution to the Cyprus Problem. Cyprus will always be a thorn in Turkey's side, the problem will not just go away one day.

Right it is becoming Turkey's burdon after all.
To be honest i would prefer the current division to stand.
I see no way the two communities to live together peacefully.Only due to this de facto division there is peace today.
Only if both sides show maturity will i consent the division to fall.

It is up to the Greek side once and forever to realise that it cannot have the whole island Greek and allow minority rights to TC and up to the Turkish side to quit on wanting over-proportional rights.Non of the above suggests we will have a solution unless both sides realize that.

Turkey's invasion on the Island helped the survival of the TC but now they both must moove forward...

Cyprus has been the victim of Greece,Turkey and the UK and the interests each of the above side have.Dont forget that due Cyprus's division we have today a democratic Greece, which is as ironic as it can get...
