Who's got 1974 straight in their heads? Most of you don't.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I knew it :!:

The Turks are holding the "Turks-born-on-Cyprus" HOSTAGE.

The Turkish flag represents your pain, eh...and all this time we thought you were declaring pride...

Sorry to have missed your signals.. You are just crying out for help.

Must brush up on my semaphore.

Do you want to be rescued or not?

And sorry for the double post but, yeah, thanks for welcoming to the forum.
Also, Pyrpolizer; so true. Ideally everyone would work together but while we have absolute total wankstains of politicians and religious figures lording the so-called power in the scenery of the 'painting' we're all screwed.

The number of times I've felt like trying to get in touch with some of the politicians on this island just to wring their necks and find out what the hell motivates them to be so blatantly crap and lead the vast numbers of sheep-people in their decisions that affect the quality of our day-light lives... it's just appalling. And it's all down to awfully biased and fradulent, false education on the island as a whole.

Someone bloody tell people the historical, factual, infalleable truth instead of everyone mixing bullshit into the equation and making it all so much more complicated. It's really as clear as day in a 'politically correct' sense and avoiding the personal level and that's that.

To hell with the old men who say our future happiness is impossible and refuse to even have a chat over a coffee or can of soft drink. One fantastic example are the pair of leaders who served just recently - Denktash and Clerides. They were schoolmates; they both graduated from The English School in Nicosia and actually made an attempt at solving this damn thing. Fine their ideal happy endings were very far apart but at least they were talking! Where are we now? In shitsville!

Absolutely pathetic. And the damage has been done to the vast majority of every generation that has passed since those decades long past... you get apes with no conceivable sentience and intellect spitting and whistling from either side across the line drawn in the sand. May they all remain as blissfully ignorant of the facts as they always have been and suffer for it along the way.

Thankfully most of you who have replied so far have shown some ounce of intellect and sentience which really makes me smile. I can only guess that the ape-men have not yet foraged the internet further than for the self-pleasures of pornography just yet. Ugh.

Peegor, with all due respect, please don't make assumptions too quickly from the rapid response team.

You are obviously still wet behind the gills, no offence. But you sound as though you've been beemed down from the stars and the fairy dust is still shimmering. That's quaint.

Imo however the vast majority of both Gcs and Tcs know very well they did wrong to each other. Of course they care more for their own suffering and think their suffering was more significant than the suffering of the other people. That's only natural human response anyway.

The problem today that stacks everything (at least to the level of the average TC) is INTERESTS ON LAND AND PROPERTIES which is concealed behind excuses for security and various complex political issues. We have other levels of INTERESTS too, those of settlers, those of crooks who purchased stolen GC land, the interests of Turkey having a huge military base which they don't want to lose etc etc.

Personally I don't believe there is any possibility to ever reach an agreed solution in Cyprus, but I believe one of the 2 sides will force it's will on the other within the next 20 years.

Prophetic words Pyro. Who will make the greatest sacrifices to avoid this?
A problem indeed.

Ahhh nobody will. That's why the outcome will be unfair, anyway you look at it.
I hope I am just a pseudo-Prophet

Lets see the case to be no fanatics as many of you like to say here in this forum:

There was an Island where the majority (more than 80 per cent) were declaring themselves as Greeks. When this happen this majority was under occupation of Ottomans and then by British.

In their historical way to be regognised as Greeks and be united with their mainland - mother country , they used various methods including a military fight against the last occupator, the British.Being a small Island , in comparison with the occupator they finally forced not only to sign a peace agreemnt but to regognise also some remains of previous occupator (Ottomans) as co-owners of the Island.

The right of the majority to ask their real freedom forced them to try again to withdraw the unethical and unfair results of the competition of powers involved. Foeign people like British and Turks forced the majority of the Island (the real habitans -Greeks ) to try various other ways to find their rights.

Finally the first occupator by the power of guns decided to give a final solution and stop the Greeks of the place to ask their lawful rights-They (the majority) even start to think and reconider the fact of being Greek or "Cypriots" the last means a mixture of Turks,Syrians, Arabs and maybe Zouloo!!!

Now lets be no fanatics , lets be educated, modern, democratic

Yes they re right. We are all above, we have no historical routes, we created one night as all above, a mixture of all bullsheet nations named "Cypriots".

The Turkish rmy had any right to invate to protected the co-owners of the Island the so called TCs.They were poor we herefore hve to accept our land and property to be given to them in order we have a balance .
In addition and despite their minority number we are accepting to control the Island ON 50/50 basis.

In addiion an on basis we are a mixture of nations we do not have any problem Turkey, which is a powerful country to protect also our safety , our teritorial waters, our air space, our defend. What is the problm? We are not fanatics, we are modern, educated people, we can understand and accept all above. At least, as they latetly told us, we are all Europeans!!

After all above we are not fanatics for sure , we are just stupids!!!

Dirty Den,

not everyone wants to just cut and paste other people's comments. Some people have opinions of their own, which may or may not invite the need for a reply from someone.

I thought the forum was about some outward expression of deeply held or newly discovered feelings and emotions.

A catharsis, if you like.

In making such a remark, it clearly shows you have run out of feelings.........if not just things to say :!:
