About vetoing Turkey, most people in Greece do not share your pro-Turkish views. All polls of EU showed that the population of Greece is one of those with the greatest opposition to the Turkish accession to EU. So don't present yourself as a representative of the people of Greece. You are not.

Maybe that is your insecurity that i am or not Greece's representative.
There is no way Greece does not have number 1 priority Turkey's full accesion to the EU,regardless of the polls by Kathimerini and Ta Nea.

There is no way Greece will ever Veto Turkey to EU.That is bullshit and only GreekCypriots wanna think that for Greece. Not in a trillion we will Veto Turkey. We have made it clear that we want Turkey in the EU.Full member and not the bullshit France is saying.

I don't know the polls by Kathimerini and Ta Nea. I am talking about official Eurobarometer polls by the EU.

I don't have any insecurities, what I am saying is a simple fact. Apparently you have some issues in admitting that your views represent only a tiny minority of the population of Greece.

Bullshit. There is no way Greece would ever Veto Turkey. That is a figment of your imagination and some GC wanna think like that to take consolation.100% bullshit if i may add.

Greece wont Veto Turkey if her life depended on it.Let us see if you will have the nerve not to comply to Greece if it comes down to a Veto.

[edit] Greece
Further information: Greco-Turkish relations
Greece has been supportive overall of Turkish membership, with Greek Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis declaring, "Full compliance, full accession" in December 2006.[23] In 2005 the European Commission referred to relations between Turkey and Greece as "continuing to develop positively"[24] while also citing the lack of progress made by Turkey in dropping their claim of casus belli over a dispute about territorial waters boundaries.[24]

It is not just about Greece and Cyprus here. Most EU countries do not want Turkey in EU, including Germany and France, the two most important countries of EU. So don't act as if Cyprus is alone in this. If we decide that the EU accession of Turkey is not for our interests then we will play our role in this direction regardless of what Greece will say.

Greece has our support within EU in the matters that are extremely important to her, and we expect the same in return, and for the most part we get it, regardless of what the pro-Turks like you say.

Be sure our government will do what is in the interests of Cyprus even if at that time Greece is ruled by some pussy who is not willing to support us. Hopefully however Greece will never be ruled by people like you, since as we agreed you represent nothing but a tiny minority.

And by the way, "Full compliance, full accession" is what we support as well for Turkey.

Regardless of Turkey's bid Cyprus is gonna be the last EU country to agree Turkey's entry if the issue is not resolved by then even if France,Germany and Austria say yes or any country inside or outside EU that has a saying in Turkey's accesion.

The full compliance you mean is different from the full complience we mean. After all it is not Greece the one that is invaded.

the thing is that, we, being part of the conflict are ofcource more suspicious. all the events can also lead to different conclusions when viewed by someone else. for example :

United States Policy towards Cyprus, 1954–1974: Removing the Greek-Turkish Bone of Contention. By Claude Nicolet. (Mannheim: Bibliopolis, 2001. 483 pp. € 42.90, ISBN 3-933925-20-7.)

she puts forward a complete different thesis, and challanges the position of some of our most prominent authors.

she doesnt have the "truth" either, but its a very well documented book. a non-journalistic one, and it is for sure worth reading, just to get a different perspective or analysis of the same events (even if we disagree with her view)

And who appointed you a representative of Karamalis?

What I see is that what you care about is Turkish accession to the EU. So veto or no veto, Cyprus or no Cyprus, sorry to destroy your dream, but Turkey will never be part of EU. Better start getting used to the idea.

Europeans simply do not want Turkey in EU and no interests of AngloAmericans and some turkophiles like you can force the Europeans to change their mind.

And who apointed you a representative of Papadopoulos?Be sure you will bow to Greece as you have been always. We sold you out so many times and we shall keep on selling you out if you dont meet our goals. We keep you or sell you out according our interests.

I couldnt care less what backward fascists like you say.I dont give a penny whether Turkey actually gets in or not.Plus the polls in Hyriet and Milliet say that the people of Turkey are the one's not wanting EU.

First of all we established that you do not represent Greeks.

Secondly, we will act according to our interests. If at some point our interests do not agree with the ones of Greece then each country will take its own decisions.

I couldnt care less what backward fascists like you say.

 And what makes me that? That I want my country free from foreign occupation? You just lost the argument and this is why you started the baseless personal attacks.

I dont give a penny whether Turkey actually gets in or not.Plus the polls in Hyriet and Milliet say that the people of Turkey are the one's not wanting EU.

Turkeys' entry into the EU will serve the interests of both Greece and Cyprus , at least in the political domain .
A Turkey outside the EU will be reluctant to energise a solution of the Cyprob. Inside the EU Turkey will be much more affable towards a just solution. It would not serve Cyprus' interests one iota by using her Veto , Turkey would be highly unlikely to climb down if pushed . Entry into the EU will be more likely to produce the required results even if it takes much longer than desired.
