Oh, don't get me wrong, NTL was a very good package. Always good speeds and hardly ever went wrong. Unlike some friends of mine who had BT ADSL. I was just saying that their customer support totally sucked back in the day. The worst thing about it was the sheer amount of time it took to get through to someone. Even before Virgin took them over they had pretty much sorted that out. Normally didn't take longer than a couple of minutes to get an answer in the end. Only downside was when you got the Indian call centres. Really didn't know anything. I mean the British ones were pretty clueless, but the Indian call centres brought a whole new level of uselessness. It was effectively the same thing as finding information on their website. Everything read off a card. And it took like ages to get them to understand or for you to understand what they were on about. Fair enough save some money, but bloody hell... Obvious answer was to keep hanging up when you heard them answer until you got the Scottish call centre. They were very good. Very realistic option once they got the quick answering of the phone sorted out. Obviously everyone else stuck on the Indian call centres are basically paying for your good service, but what the hey...cable 10mbit is £200 a month so id rather that and bad customer service then high prices that only rich people can afford
