That's a little insulting, I took the advice of the 'Which' magazine, they advised against ABTA saying that statistics showed a higher success rate in small claims court.
We booked a holiday in Paphos and paid for an accomodation upgrade, Thomsons sent just two of us despite our protestations in a taxi to a filthy pighole appartment in Ayia Napa, it was filthy, ant, cockroach and mouse infested as well as downright dangerous,(sink and electric hob side by side).
Ive attached a shot of the lovely Bathroom window and the unmarked step the I fell down with my suitcases in my hands. Please remember we had paid extra to fly into Paphos as well as an upgrade and this is what we got.

Tommorow 10 months after the accident I start more hospital treatment for the Back injuries that I sutained when I fell into the dimly lit room at midnight. Remember, I was carrying two suitcases when I entered that room for the first time.

I didnt mean to be that insulting. It was a bit tongue in cheek. But the steps in the picture are criminal. I hope you win.
I packed off my wife to Spain this morning with a fully charge camcorder.
Last year she went with the grand children and they put the one year old twins in a cot held together with string. The daughter-in-law filmed the cot and she got £600 compensation. These people need sorting out. (Hotelkeepers etc). Its no joke really.

Is that how you managed to 'Draft Dodge' when you were in the forces, (The back I mean), so you ended up in the band while the others went into the combat zones, nice one, seems like you always have been a bit of an arsehole eh?.

Many thanks, denizaksulu I also had the prescence of mind to take shots and video footage, we left the next morning for Paphos. Neither the hotel or Thomsons do holiday resorts any favours.

These are more shots of the ANTHEA appartments in Ayia Napa
The first shot shows how filthy the floor was on our arrival

Image

The second is our room door in an underground car park.

Avanapa wrote:I get exasparated with you moaning brits who have obviously never properly researched flights before making your moves. Stories of £700 flights are just , at best exaggerations and at worst downright lies. After searching meticulousy I cannot ever say that , regardless of the time of year , I could,nt find a return flight less than £300. There are many flights around the £270 - £300 mark even in July and August. You try booking a flight to anywhere in Spain and you,ll soon find that there is little difference in the prices available between Spain and Cyprus. Get a grip of yourselves and stop looking for any excuse to rubbish Cyprus. Its obvious , to me at least, that you people are just never going to be pleased. Your looking for something for nothing and when its not forthcoming you spit out your dummy. No wonder we have the reputation we have been landed with. If you have a problem with Cyprus then its very simple. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Avanapa.......... you arrogant SOB.

Its because of people exactly like you that Cyprus is in the mess it's in. You just cant/wont see the inevitable. In your piggy eyes anyone that criticizes Cyprus is a dog. That attitude is exactly the problem with Cypriots and the removal of your logic gene will ensure Cyprus will slide to the bottom of the 'where shall we go on holiday' list.

And your last few words.........That's exactly what is happening. You dick!

My other half was charged £1.20 for a 750ml bottle of water today by some theiving toad! Shee was so thirsty as our own had run out she had to buy........and now anyone that reads this post knows what a rip-off you can expect in Napa.

And dont call me a moaning Brit when its my £ which is keeping your flagging economy alive. But at this rate not for much longer...and you'll only have your own small mindedness to blame.

Eliko after leaving the British army in 1969 and despite having the injury I worked for the next 23 years as an external engineer for BT, I only claimed against the army when I reached a point where I could no longer carry out my work.
The certificate is rather tattered I've had it since it was issued in 1992.
