Hello everyone

I think there is a balance. Too many cheap flights and cheap hotels = chavs. However, the prices quoted on this thread are taking the ****. There is no balance here, just greed.

I wonder if Cyprus is expensive (when booking) for the German, Swiss etc or is it just us Brits that pay over the odds?

Cyprus is a lovely place and I didn't mind spending a few extra quid to visit Paphos because the hotels were nice and the resort was nice but as we all know its changed and the class which was once associated with Paphos has long gone, but the prices have risen.

Only one winner here I'm affraid!!!!!

You could all try the North, oh sorry we are "illegal "and "do not exist".
Give it a try anyway. You can still have your day trips.

To get to the 'illegal' North you have to fly into the South! As your airport doesn't exist!

Ergan airport doesn't exist????? Look on flightsim or better still drive past it.

For all my investigations following the helpful posts on here, a cheap return flight is not available to Cyprus.

You can buy an all inclusive holiday in Espana (Spain) for just about the same amount or less.

No tourists? No wonder!

Keep an eye on the taxi prices on the boards in the airport , when you arrive at your destination no matter what they ask for give them the rate written on the boards . They might shout , yell and make a lot of noise but WILL NOT call the police .

Like I said. The taxi drivers think they run this country. They should all be sacked! (Well those that try to extort money anyway).

As I've already said, the prices on the board at Paphos airport have all been ripped off, so no one can tell what they should really be. If you have no one to meet you and do not have transfers from a holiday company, then you have no alternative. It is about time that there was a proper bus service to and from the airport.
I can't think of any other international airport that doesn't have public transport!

Thats because the taxi drivers think they run the airport. If the Police nicked as many of these rogues as they do 'dangerous 65mph drivers' on the motorway, none of this would be necessary. Sorry I forgot that cousin/brother/uncle/neice/nephew/grandfather/self run taxis.
