Try www.flyglobespan.com

Easyjet and the likes don't find it economically viable to fly to Cyprus not just because of taxes it is more to do with the amount of flights and sector times. At the moment they fly London-Istanbul which is just on the edge of the staff hours to do a return journey in one sector. I think Cyprus may be just a little far for that.

Maybe true.....you're right about sectors and flying times but i'd have thought Cyprus would just be in range.....i'm no expert tho :-)

I always thought Cyprus Airways was the Budget Airline(BA)...

The quality of the planes, seats & food must make them a BA!!!

Then of coure there is EuroSHITair --- Need I say more???

I think your are right, I think range of aircraft and flight times are the problem, if you look at Easyjet's map you will see that Cyprus is just outside current destinations, does anyone know how the flight time to Istanbul compares to flight time to Cyprus. Perhaps someone in the air travel business can tell us if we will ever get buget airlines flying to Cyprus

I remember writing to MD a couple of years ago, I think his name was Andy Harris or something like that, asking about flights to Cyprus. The reply was not in any great detail however it did say that it was something that they may consider in the future but not at the moment and thanked me for my continued support etc etc...

There are some airlines who do some cheap seats, my wife got a flight from Paphos to the UK, one way, last month for £14.99 excl taxes with my travel so I am afraid its trial and error trawling the web. She got a flight back with Euro cypria for £60 a week later. These flights were booked last minute due to a family bereavement back home.

Another website I find useful is skyscanner.net who compare travel companies.

I asked about cheap flights on this site and was pointed in the direction of XL.com.... i've never used them so can't tell anyone how good or bad they are until after our flight in September but the one way ticket costs me £54 including fuel and airport taxes from Stansted.......... I'll be happy to recommend them if this quote becomes a reality!! I'll let u know!!!!!!!!!

To get a quick overview of where each airline servicing Larnaca and Paphos flies to, check out these two Wikipedia sites.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larnaca_In ... stinations
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paphos_Int ... al_Airport

It's no use finding a great fare on a UK budget airline only to find out after 20 minutes of searching that the departure city is Stanley in the Falklands.
