You don't need to do anything immediately! Just unpack and sort yourselves out first.
You can apply to immigration in whichever town you are settling in supposedly within 3 months. Most places have someone who will do all the work for you and then you get fast tracked instead of sitting in an office for hours. We have the contact for someone in Limassol.

Really? No-one told me that. And we have a few friends who moved out here and didn't do that either. We've been in Limassol since last November and don't even know where the Police station is...

Saying that, we did get immigration sorted immediately. Was pretty straight forward. Immigration office is opposite an Orphanides above an electric shop with minimum ways of recognising it as such (probably doesn't help you at the minute...). Just get there early or bring a book/mobile game. And if you get the bloke at reception then be nice as he is a well grumpy git. :)

Cheers

Sorry to be like this mate and I dont mean to be rude........but........

I wish I could find one of these gullible Brits to buy my house in the UK. They buy here on a whim and then think....derrr..how do i get here??????? What currency do i use???? Will the bog really block if I throw bog paper down it??? and 101 other dumb questions!

One potential buyer didnt like the fence and then they'll argue over a bloody curtain rail.

Here they'll buy ANYTHING without giving it a second thought. It drives me mad!!!!!

ps.....Is 300 grand for a 3 bed semi too much to ask from one of these people? It is on the market at £225k after all.

A property is worth what someone will pay for it

'supply and demand' I think is the phrase

Just because all you get in Sunderland is £30 dont think that all UK houses are 6ft by 6ft with a single window.

Or was your comment a joke and I missed it?????????
