I'm always amazed at the logic of some Brits coming to Cyprus .
I've heard so many times that they want to come to Cyprus to enjoy the village life and integrate with the locals -- then buy a house or flat on a Brit only gated complex as far removed from the locals as possible.

I think that I should have worded my statement better. I'm not fussed about living in an expat community, just not too far. I thought it would help my family to settle. Were looking to make new friends in our newly chosen country whatever their nationality or origin. No confrontation or argument provocation was intended.
