Sorry about titepa nob. Its just a nicety I learned from GetReal. It took me months before I found out that GetReal was not being rude to me. Read it backwards my friend.

As to your caring about your friends, huh. What about my stomach pains induced by your art? May God forgive you. :lol: :lol:

I could look through the whole thread to find out but....has anyone mentioned the humble Cypriot potato? Best in the world IMO.

hmm i love pourgouri with yogurt, keftedes with yogurt again, seftalies of course, and fasolaki yahni :)

I forgot to mention that I have relatives from Avgorou (Αυγόρου) and I remember my self going to the little house they had at the field and the man brought us some fresh potatoes that he just took out from the earth and the lady wash them very well and fried them without even peeling them. But they taste so good...

Does anyone know the Greek or Latin nomenclature of the plant we call 'Hostes' in Turkish. We use it in a stew. A very short plant with variegated leaves of green and a tinge of red. Leaves are a bit spiny' on the outer edges. Halil will know the dish but anyone know the plant itself?
