Mum made some yesterday. If you have never tried these, then you are really missing out.

They are made in a similar way to Koupes (except the skin has beaten beef mixed with boulgur) but instead of being fried, they are boiled.

Noooo...banning him is not the answer...We should organise another board meeting and arrange all sorts of delicious cypriot dishes...Off course Kefanes will be invited also BUT we tie him up on his chair with a rope and eat everything in front of his eyes...![]()

Must admit my failing- i love koupes, but I never managed to make them look or taste respectable. Just cant manage to get the shaping right. So I resort to the nearest Lebanese restaurants (Koupes are unknown in Greek cuisine). Someone must give us hints on how to shape them so they dont fall apart. Then I can decide to boil some and fry some. An interesting historical tidbit- the British soldiers posted in the Middle East in WWI called Koupes "Syrian Torpedoes".
