I wasn't talking about him but about Michael Stephen who it seems is very helpful for the Turkish cause hence the uotations on the ministry of foreign affairs site. As for your professor Halil I just had a quick read of what he wrote...Don't think much of someone who professes to analyse the Cyprus Issue but thinks that the 1960 constitution was for a Federation!!! :shock: Read below.

5).The Republic of Cyprus established in 1960 was a unique case, "for there is no other
state in the world which came into being as a result of two politically equal peoples coming
together by the exercise by each of its sovereign right of self-determination, to create a
functional federation within a single territory,

All you guys have done is to SAY he is wrong because all the evidence he gave is biased...Coming from you guys all unbiased that is pure comical farse........Just because you say it is wrong then it must be :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Quit playing the fool Zan. You know very well that manufactured propaganda such as that presented by the Bow Group (propaganda professionals) does not constitute "evidence".

Sorry to all my friends but my internet connection is playing up and keeps kicking me off line.

That's because you're telling lies! Remember Pinochio? His nose use to grow every time he lied but you being a virtual character obviously don't have a nose so you can only get thrown off-line! :lol:

Right! I think it is time to educate us. You have made a lot of statements about this group or another being a propaganda group. I know what happened because I was part of all this shit and most people know what happened because you guys have been caught red hands more than once, just like in the case of all the missing people and all the exaggerations. How about you give us some conclusive evidence that the groups and individuals are as you say. Try a bit of evidence and stop all this "word of GR and Piratis"crap. You are beginning to sound as ridiculous as Chimerashite and all thee others that just come on here and swear and degrade not only us as Turks but themselves. You think that we want to live with people like you then you have such a wake up call coming. :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: Proper evidence please.......Just claiming that the Turks paid for the information is not good enough...Come on then.

Once more for Zan! Meet the Bow Group...

http://www.bowgroup.org/

Their motto says... “The Bow Group is the oldest - and one of the most influential - centre-right Think-Tanks in Britain”

Stephen Michael or as he is sometimes known Michael Stephen, works for the infamous "BOW GROUP" hired by Turkey and/or the “TRNC” to help them out with their poor image and propaganda...

Their “papers” such as…

http://www.mediaprof.org/tcvoices/ukhist.html

…clearly state:

ABOUT THE VIEWS EXPRESSED IN BOW PAPERS
The views expressed in Bow Papers are those of the authors. They do not represent a collective view of the Bow Group, nor do they represent a statement of the view of either of the Conservative Party or of the Government. Bow Educational Papers are published as containing arguments which merit consideration by the Conservative Party and by a wider audience.

See the very bottom of this page..

Now do a search on the internet for ANY of those ridiculous quotes allegedly made by Makarios. You'll find that they originate from the Bow Group and a few TC or Turkish sites adopted them too. Nobody else mentions Makarios saying anything that daft!

Is there no end to this man's foolish patriotism?

The briefing compiled for the UK Parliment in May 1992 was published and sig 131 Members of both Houses of Parliament and of all political parties
Chairman : Keith Speed, RD MP Conservative;
Vice-Chairmen : Lord Willis, Labour, Andrew Faulds MP Labour;
Treasurer : Peter Fry MP Conservative;
Secretaries : Stephan Day MP Conservative, John D. Taylor MP UUP

Their briefing was not paid for hot air as "yavshak" GR would like to believe or claim, but depended on European news reporters, as well as involving UNFCYP and Red Cross, with full details of names and dates!

British Parliment is not a circus, where MPs issue publishings based on hot air and unsupported evidence. Any argument to hold any ground must be strongly supprted by facts.

No matter how you scream and twist the truth is:

- Makarios was a paedophile, whose sexual preferences were manipulated by the British Secret Service in securing a Cyprus Republic rather than his desires at the time (i.e. ENOSIS).

- Professor Ernst Forsthoff, the neutral President of the Supreme Constitutional Court of Cyprus in an interview with the UPI press agency on 30th December 1963 said: "All this happened because Makarios wanted to remove all constitutional rights from the Turkish Cypriots."

- In his book "The Way the Wind Blows" former British Prime Minister, Sir Alec Douglas-Home said "I was convinced of the view that if Archbishop Makarios could not bring himself to treat the Turkish Cypriots as human beings he was inviting the invasion and partition of the island."

- The U.K. House of Commons Select Committee found that, "There is little doubt that much of the violence which the Turkish Cypriots claim led to to the total or partial destruction of 103 Turkish villages and the displacement of about a quarter of the total Turkish Cypriot population, was either directly inspired by, or certainly connived at, by the Greek Cypriot leadership itself"

- On 12th March 1977 Makarios had declared "In the name of ENOSIS that Cyprus has been destroyed."

- On Independence Day 1985 the Greek Cypriot Daily Simerini lamented as follows: "We believed that we are the centre of the Earth. We thought that we, small and insignificant as we are, would be capable of exercising policy on an intercontinental plane. But also above all we underestimated the Turks. The unstable and fickle policy of our leaders has brought us to the brink of total disaster."

- On 19th July 1974, before the Turkish army landed, Archbishop Makarios told the UN Security Council "I do not yet know the details of the Cyprus crisis caused by the Greek military regime. I am afraid that the number of losses is great... I considered the danger from Turkiye lesser than the danger from Greek army officers."

- In an article on 28th February 1976 in the Greek Cypriot press Father Papatsestos said: It is a rather hard thing to say, but it is true that the Turkish intervention saved us from a merciless internecine war. The Sampson regime had prepared a list of all Makarios supporters, and they would have slaughtered them all." Many of the people saved by Turkiye are members of the present Greek Cypriot leadership.

Perhaps we should include TP's name in that list too! :D

Big OZ my friend why did you remove the heading Friends of Northern Cyprus ??

DT I ahve a word document with all these quotes! I do not look for sites everytime there is a debate and I do remove most of the irrelevant parts leaving just the data on the subject. The same document probably features in many other sites with the same heading and content - the quoting site here is of no significance, it is the content which cannot be challenged as "untrue"!

If you say to me it is one sided, I might agree with you since the same applies for many quotes from US senate. The fact remains that the data relies on independent resources rather than claims by a TC minister or a TC site. The other question you may ask yourself is, what benefit do these 130+ MP "friends of Northern Cyprus" (not TRNC as you have quoted) can possibly expect from the TCs or North Cyprus. On the contrary it shows a genuine concern by a many MPs who have sought and recognised the true events...
