You didn't seem to mind when you willingly moved overseas for a "better" life in the UK/US/Aus. Your people did not even make up 1% in those countries yet you are just fine today!

All Tcs want are safeguards to ensure we are not turned into the Pakistanis of the UK and more like the Scots where we have a say in our own future and everything is not dominated and exploited by GCs..

Safeguards like what VP? What exactly are you requesting?

You ask the above question about moving abroad but I am pretty certain you can work out the difference...try hard and you will see it from our perspective.

With regards to safeguards we want to administer our own area and political strength to block anything that will effect us negatively.

Sure, administer your own area. Not our area. So get the villages that you have the majority and administer them, no problem. But based on what can areas like Kerynia, Marfou, Famagusta etc be "your area"??
Thats not "safeguards" you are asking for, it is stealing of our land!

I hope you're not implying that every Turkish Cypriot was "forced" to move abroad because that would constitute a lie...
In the US/UK/Aus you became an average citizen under a modern democratic system and that is PRECISELY what Cyprus has evolved into so now with your HUGE 18% influence you're laughing! No problem there.

With regards to safeguards we want to administer our own area and political strength to block anything that will effect us negatively.

That is a proposal you must put forward DEMOCRATICALLY with all details and if and when it is accepted by most Cypriots good luck.
What the lady Minister said is very true. When one does not want a solution, he will do anything in his power to make it impossible. This is what happens now....
Hello Pyro, enter the old faithful Nasredin Hodja:

The neighbour asked to borrow Hodja's washing line. Hodja was in a bad mood. He said "no". The man asked Hodja "why?". Hodja answered "because my wife has hung up FLOUR on the washing line". The neighbour asked, "how on earth do you hang up FLOUR on a washing line?". Hodjas answer was "if you do not want to lend the washing-line, then it is possible to hang FLOUR on it!"

Oh well, I thought it was funny

How can we steal whats already ours? GCs will be given the choice to come back or sell up but BBF and politcal equality is the only way forward better get used to this idea as it is something accepted by your leaders and supported by the international community.

Wrong, the example you gave is not applicable as those who go abroad accept the law of that country which is not their own, Can you not see the difference?

This is our country and we also want an effective say in the running of it and thus a say in our own futures.
