My day today in England

Postby Baggieboy » Wed Aug 01, 2007 11:28 pm

Today I woke up at 4.30am knowing that yesterday was payday and that today 67.5% of my wages had gone in mortgage, standing orders, council tax etc.

I left the house at 5.50am and walked 20 minutes to get a bus to get me to New Street Station.

As I had 20 minutes before my train I went outside for a cigarette, as we can no longer smoke anywhere except outside (even on train platforms which are completely open air).

I was immediately accosted by a beggar who asked me for money. I gave him 20p. Then another approached me and asked for a cigarette. I gave him one. He was disappointed that it was menthol and told me as much. The original beggar then came back and asked me for "his " cigarette (seeing that I was giving them away). I loudly ordered him and his mate to Fuck Off and went looking for a policeman who may want to help Birmingham portray an image which doesn't suggest everyone who enters its main train station will be accosted by a flock of beggars. None could be found.

I travelled to Leeds and worked there till 6.20pm. I was taken to the place of work by two different taxi drivers - both muslims - and enjoyed the chat with them. They were the only two polite and friendly people I met all day.

I returned to Birmingham at 9pm - walked out of the station and lit a fag. Who was there to greet me? yep - "Can you give me 30p". This was the 3rd beggar to be told to fuck off by me today and I reflected on how good my home town must look to visitors.

I got on my bus and sat upstairs, whereby a gang of about 10 black lads took great joy in throwing empty McDonalds bags at a white teenager sat in front of them. Upon my pointing out how brave they were to take on 1 lad and there were only 10 of them I was informed that I was a fucking c**t - which I was not previously aware of.

I actually thought I was the guy who was working a 17 hour fucking day to keep these bastards in their unemployment benefit.

Meanwhile two 14 year old girls were throwing up downstairs, so we had to get off the bus so that it could be cleaned. I had to walk 25 minutes to eventually get home at 10.15pm. I am now going to bed.

Tomorrow I'll do the same. What the hell is going on?

Baggie Boy you had a really good day I guess...sorry ti hear about your day. I hope this is not your usually way of life.

What make you so upset Baggie Boy? The beggars, the rules for not smoking, the girls that through up, the people who through the McDonalds to the either guy? The insults? Or finally the distance you had to walk?

Well UK it is not paradise...and I guess you already knew that.

Well Monday was my day I guess...It was my trip day to the shops and to the beach...but I end up doing that but I also lost my wallet so I had to go through the police (by the way the policeman was an idiot since he was bored to write it down or ask me any questions - I even told him taht he nee to give me a paper that I can use to get a new ID - and when they found it he was yelling at me that i didnt mention that I had money in there...), canceling my cards etc...twisted my ankle, log myself out of my house and by the time that I got in the electricity cut down...so I couldnt do anything, I couldnt sleep because of the heat and mosquitoes...until 5am that the electricity came back...but the story didnt finish there since the guy that usually fix my computer here called me around 8 or 8:30 in the morning to tell me that he was looking for me because somebody call him to tell him that I lost my wallet and he was looking for me since they call him...

Anybody else had a good day like us here?? :D

I had such a bad day, that my highlight was reading the thread "who can they blame now".

Seriously, the responses are a scream.

How sad am I?

All the time I lived in the UK I didn't see that many tramps. Interestingly though the one big tramp story that I always remember was the one and only time I visited Birmingham. I was only there because the train stopped there for a couple of hours before I could go somewhere else.

Anyway we got off and looked around for somewhere to eat. Straight away there was a man with his hand out right outside the station (in decent clothes and a leather jacket for God's sake). Went past him then noticed there was this large gang of skin heads on the other side of the road. We are talking stereotypical "are we in the right decade here?" nazi symbol wearing type skin heads. And they were shouting at us. Erm. It was ok though as it turned out we had wandered into a large gang of black kids. They then attacked each other while a few police joined in. I managed to drag my fascinated friend away from the potentially dangerous scene. Think she (and they) had watched one too many bad films from the 70s.

After that we found a Burger King. Will do. And there was beggar boy. I was in Uni at the time, so hardly Mr Cash, but I could understand someone with no money, so gave him 50p for a coffee. Turned out this meant I only had enough money for a small meal. As I sat down I saw him come away from the front of the queue with a full whack Whopper meal and afters. The total works basically. Afterwards he came over and asked my friend for a smoke. Being Irish and not as stupid as me (good old innocent Welsh boy), she told him to fuck off and get a job. Fucking tinker. Ah, I love people braver than me :) Especially women.

Cheers

Society has collapsed. The UK is a sorry state of affairs. Government and parents are tp blame. No discipline, no after school activities, too many asylum seekers, no time for anyone anymore. Miserable place....Glad I left!!!!

The UK has become the cesspit/septic tank of the world with our culture and traditions being eroded left right and centre. Birmingham's leftie/lib councilors if I remember correctly banned Christmas, need I say more.
