How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

If its the price we have to pay then be it but this will not stop us from pushing for what we feel is right in the face of GC policies against us. We have had it much worse and pulled through, you can stay in your 63% of the island and contemplate the loss looking at the biggest flag in the world day and night, thinking why they hell cant i see beyond my own nose.

Are you on some medication today?

And here is about the start of the 63 conflict:

On 21 December 1963, an angry Turkish-Cypriot crowd surrounded an armed and nervous Greek-Cypriot police patrol in Nicosia. Accounts of the confrontation differ between the Cypriot communities. On one point, however, they agree; two Turk-Cypriot civilians and one Greek-Cypriot policeman were shot dead. This incident marked a major crisis in the Cypriot inter-communal conflict. The struggle developed into one of overt violence. The initiative fell from the hands of the politicians and was taken up by the communal paramilitary forces.

So, TCs with guns surrounded and attacked policemen of Republic of Cyprus. So who started it?

You are distorting history once more piratis....
To be more precise,it all began in Tahtakale (Tahtakallas) on 21 Dec 1963...Greek Cypriot police patrol opened fire on the angry Turkish Cypriot crowd and killed two TC's (a man & a woman)...The GC policeman was killed afterwards by the angry crowd as a consequence of this violent act..

And I suppose you are not distorting the facts, iceman, for hiding the fact that this angry crowd was about ready to attack the police patrol with globs, iron and wooden bars, and the policemen were taken by surprise and reacted instinctively, for fear of their lives.

And even so, you are not hiding the truth by not saying that in an hour’s time from the above incident -which occurred in the late afternoon of the day, the TC paramilitaries under the TMT had placed tens of Bren machine guns on the roofs of TC houses around the bordering areas between the Greek and Turkish quarters of Nicosia, and started continues indiscriminate firing towards the Greek areas and streets, and also had taken positions and closed with fire the Nicosia-Kyrenia road near Neapolis suburb, blocking and essentially trapping in this way hundreds of GCs in this and Trachonas suburbs; all of which acts provoked the subsequent reaction and attacks against the entire TC Nicosia quarter by GC paramilitary teams, with all the known unfortunate results.

I knew Tpaps should've given you a blackout when he could! You'd then have to rely on the giant flag to illuminate you!

"an angry Turkish-Cypriot crowd surrounded an armed and nervous Greek-Cypriot police patrol"

So why did an angry (and apparently armed) TC crowd surrounded the police? It is not that the "angry GC police surrounded the TCs" It is the opposite. So why do you blame it on the GCs?

Sorry iceman, but I think you are the one who is trying to distort history here.

You have asked from us to watch the Angastiniotis movies and accept that we have committed crimes against TCs. And we did.
I think it is time for you to do the same and realize the two big lies of the Turkish propaganda.

Big Lie Number 1: The GCs started the intercomunal conflict in 63 and it was just one way killing of GCs against TCs.

No. GCs and TCs were equally responsible for that conflict. Some GCs continued trying for enosis, and some TCs continued to try for partition. The way the conflict "sparked" as it is written above is again not the fault of just one side, but both. Also both sides had a few 100s of casualties during that period. So nobody denied that you suffered, but you have to recognize that you committed crimes as well and you were equally responsible for those events and not just the "innocent victims" you are trying to present yourselves.

Big Lie number 2: Turkey invaded Cyprus in 1974 to save the TCs that were being killed.

No. Turkey invaded Cyprus to take part of it, just as it was her plan for decades. The coup was just an excuse. No TC was harmed in 1974 until after the Turkish troops had started their invasion killing 1000s of people. In fact GC resistance fighters were fighting against the coupists, and Makarios had already appealed to the UN condemning the coup and asking for help from the UN.

I hope one day you will realize the lies you had been fed all these years, although apparently it doesn't suit you to realize them, since accepting such facts would go against your aim of partition.

Honestly I think we did our steps toward reconciliation and it is time for TCs to reciprocate if reconciliation is what they want. If they don't want reconciliation because it doesn't suit their partition aim, then I don't think it worths making any reconciliation steps just by ourselves, since they are apparently only being used to help the Turkish propaganda and nothing more.

Thats fine VP,
I come back to my point keep the land and the embargo, the flag only exists if I give it an exoistence, on a personal level I am not touched at all. I have faith that the international community recognises the illegalities and for the time being it is justice as far as I am concerned, good luck with enduring the hardship. BTW you are not alone in that, :) :) :) :) :)

You are the liars because lies is all you have to excuse your illegal occupation of Cyprus.

είστε ντροπή στην ανθρωπότητα

I like your name change, it makes more sense. With your Greek it appears to be software generated... :)

Σας ευχαριστούμε GR. Τα ελληνικά ΜΟΥ δεν είναι τέλεια αλλά είναι μια γλώσσα Ι αγάπη και μια ημέρα θα τον μιλήσει.

Hi GR,

My skill of the Greek language is non existent. Its as good as the software generated by Bable Fish. It is however a language I love and wish I could speak it. My father speaks it fluently, whenever he meets Greek people and starts a conversation I just watch and listen open mouthed with envy

 I just had a look but no Turkish! :(

I did a few tests and it's not bad actually!

Yeah but I will not be using Babel Fish forever. My house is now finished. (Built on TC land). I fly out on the 8th to furnish it. I will be spending a lot more time in Cyprus and will make every effort to learn Greek.

Iceman has made friends with you guys. That automatically makes you my friends too. That means every time we meet for dinner or drinks I will drive you all mad with Greek words and their deffinitions. A word or better still a sentense a day will make me fluent in Greek no time.

I return the compliment and wish you all good luck keeping the refugees quite/duped and dealing with the problems generated by being the only divided country in the EU.
