Ah the great Halil, İ was wondering when İ would run into u. Here r my answers 2 yr questions.
1. İ was born in Tottenham London.
2. İ want to cry when İ think about the Cyprus. The history is so sad but İ believe people r generally good and one day İ am sure there will be a solution.
3. İ have a few Greek Cypriot friends in London. İ see them as my friends because we grew up together. We shared things. İ see all people as the same. Usually we don t talk about the Cyprus problem if we do it is only to make jokes about how stupid the curent situation is.
4. İ have been in the TRNC for 3 months but this isn t my first visit. İ feel very much like a Turkish Cypriot. But because of my experiences in life İ am perfectly happy to call myself Turkish there is no need to add Cypriot.
5. İ think this forum is a great idea. People obviosly care about what s going on or the forum would nt exist today.
6. Generally İ don t like to give massages. But my message for TCs or GCs is not to leave this problem to the politicians. İt is up to people to change the wrongs in the world and maybe this forum is the first step on a long road to a lasting peace.

Dear Halil sorry but İ don t remember all the jokes but the one İ do remember is we would ask each other if we r going this summer to Cyprus. İf the answer was yes we would say OK see u at the border so we can throw stones at each other (this was of course before the border opened). We would then jump up and down in the air prtending to throw stones at each other and shouting insutls at each other like u Green pig or BelloTurco!
2. Yes we can t leave it to politicans but İ guess the only way to solve it is to become politicans ourselves. We must create a new poltical party that exists on both sides of the fence. Only when this poltical party grows strong on both sides and wins seats on both sides can there be progress. A party which exists on both sides would be Cyprus' first true political party with Greek and Turksish memebers.
