We are living in Pegia in Paphos. We have been here just over one year and have decided the time has come to try and learn the language not only for our children but also for our business. Regards

I used to go to lessons in pegia about a year ago but stopped going due to starting work. His name was Aris he was located on the main road up through pegia, just past the jail pub on the right opposite the car park. He didn't teach phonetics he taught you how to read and write as well as speak. Like i said it was a year ago so not sure if hes still doing it but he was very good and it cost around £4 an hour.

Postby TOODS » Sun Aug 05, 2007 10:00 pm

Hi. My name is Simon and I'm looking to move my family to Cyprus in the next few months. We've been looking online to rent a property and have taken a liking to Peyia. Could you tell a bit about the place. We've got a 9yr old son who we would like to go to school nearby. eg Many expats nearby by? How hard is it to get work? Hope you can help. Thanks

Peyia probably has the largest concentration of expats in Cyprus; however it has retained it natural charm; it has a few shops/banks/tavernas, is about 20 minutes from Paphos, 7 minutes from Coral Bay and 35 minutes from Polis.

Downside; there are just too many new builds there, you will have no problem getting a rental but unless you have special skills a lot of problem getting work - as has been discussed many times in these pages.
