Too many foreigners in Cyprus

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Too many foreigners in Cyprus

Postby ChrisDemetriou » Wed Aug 01, 2007 12:57 pm

i recently got back from a holiday in Cyprus. I have been going to Cyprus regulary since I was young to see family. Apart from the likes of Protaras and Ayia Napa, which are tourist destination, I was amazed with the number of people that weren't Cypriot.

Nicosia
I walked down to Ledra street, and there were people sitting on the floor, all over the place, looking rough and basically dirty. It looked like a slum. There were loads of Turks, but not Turkish-Cypriots, Turks from mainland Turkey. and it just bought the place down. Turkish Cypriots, im fine with, and can relate to them, and have no problem with, but when you start seeing Turks in the south, it makes me really angry. The turks are much better off, beacause they are moving south into Civilisation, whilst just leaving the North back in time.

Limassol
Limassol was full of people of Indian and Chinese Orgin, or from countries around there, and as my uncle described it, its full of tramps now.

Why are Turkey allowed to illegally occupy half the island, then there aloud into the south. If anything the North should be open to the Greek Cypriots-and Turkish Cypriots, but mainland Turks should not be aloud in.
The island is better off staying in half.

Non Cypriots are 1/10th of the population. I think you have just been at the places they go and that is why you saw so many. For sure you didn't see a lot of Indians and Chinese in Limassol. What you saw were Sri Lankees and Filipino and if you saw a lot of them it means you have been in the old port reclamation area on a Sunday when those people have their day off and they all go there. And in Nicosia the old town is abandoned by GCs because it is very near to the Turkish troops so it is now inhabited by foreign workers who are for sure not Turks. ;)

Chris, that is what happens when the 'Brits' get their foot in the door of anyones country, they create upheaval and then come in the 'guise' of saviours to rectify the problem.

The truth is that they destroy any nation they put their 'Curse of Jesus' hand on, get out of the country before they contaminate your young mind son, their own nation is now crumbling as a result of their past evils mate.

Why blame the Brits? It is a racist post anyway.

P.S. I was walking down Leicester Square going towards Trafalgar Square only last week. There were thousands of people hurrying around. The majority were foreigners. So what? This is the contemporary world. We cannot go back.

Well either way I don't feel as safe as I did before In Cyprus, there are soo many dodgy looking people now. Saying that I felt safest in Larnaca, which when I was there, was mainly full of Greek-Cypriots, I just hope Cyprus dosen't become a place where everyone from poorer countries come, as they are slowing turing Cyprus into a shit hole.

Its not racist, but if they acted normally it would be fine, but lying around on the streets acting like tramps, its just not what Cyprus should be like.

Bananiot, that is precisely the point I made at the end of my comment, the influx of other nationalities in the UK, is the result of the UKs actions in the rest of the world, the 'Mother Country' must now tolerate the homecoming of all her chicks.
