For 100 ponds i dont think its a case of taste, i think it is for someone who needs to furnish somewhere with good solid furniture on a bit of a budget.
And i think they are quite nice anyway, ok may not be modern looking, but you can always put a throw over. Besides, 3 seater, 2 seater, 2 side tables and a lamp, sounds like a bloody good bargain for 100 however you put it.
Some people dont have a lot of money to throw away on things, especially not holiday home furniture, or when they are just starting out somewhere new, so if you are a snob then thats your problem.
