All our members have chosen to invest into the TRNC economy because of their love of this part of the Island and its people. Not only did we come here for a better quality of life but also with the hope that our investment would improve the quality of life for all citizens of the TRNC and not just a chosen few. This chosen few have become very rich, at the expense of the local community.
We have attempted for almost two years to get the government to acknowledge the existence of unlawful, sub standard building which has taken place, particularly during the past 4 or 5 years.
While certain moves have been taken by the government, these have been insignificant and have not improved the plight of foreign property investors who suffered at the hands of the unscrupulous builders and lawyers.
On several occasions we have been promised that a Special Commission would be set up to investigate the problems and to take remedial action. Various other promises have been made but all have come to nothing.
It is not our aim to punish those good businessmen out there who work hard and are honest to the core, those who just wish to earn a living a share the beautiful TRNC with their fellow man, Just the Criminals

I don't know much about this case but a bit of evidence as to who is doing this might be good

It is far cry from being anything negative about the TRNC - so it seems some of our GC compatriots got a hard on for nothing!
However, it has my full support for trying to erase all the crooks and illegal / unsafe constructors who may give honest North Cyprus businessmen a bad name. The same goes for the identification - disposal of any corrupt officials who may actively be encouraging such activities...

Well, well, well, the chickens have come home to roost. For once people like Zan cannot blame the GCs. It is the thieving brits and other who are up in arms, but hey, i am so glad and i am so happy. Zan your people have done a very good job on them. I never thought i'd hear myself say this, but BRAVO to the TRNC for screwing these f@ckers over.
God i feel good i could buy all the TCs a beer.
Ha ha ha, i hope they loose the lot. And the bottom line is, this is the real TRNC would you trust them.
I would like all the GCs to goto the website in question, goto contacts and send a really shitty email wishing them hell.
Well done Mr Talat and your cronies for shiting on these people please keep it up.
hey i cant stop laughing my sides are splitting Aaarrrrrggghhhh!
Have a nice day
Get Real! wrote:Dear “victims” of “TRNC” property scams,
You claim… “We are people who have invested in the TRNC only to find that we have been victims of a colossal on-going property scam”.
The truth is you DID NOT CARE that most of the land held captive by Turkey in the north of Cyprus belongs to Greek Cypriots, THE TRUE VICTIMS of the Turkish invasion and occupation of Cyprus since July 1974, and yet you proceeded to “invest” by doing deals with criminals to get your hands on stolen land at “bargain” prices.
Now you complain that the criminals have turned against YOU so you now demand “justice”! The question is do you deserve justice? If you do not care about the justice of others what makes you so special to get any justice yourselves?
You have been a willing accessory to the crimes of Turkey and her puppet “state” called the “TRNC” and yet you now have the audacity to request that people help you?
On behalf of my fellow Greek Cypriot compatriots I offer you a hand, or make that a finger, so that you may BEGIN to see how we have been feeling since 1974…
Enjoy it!
Regards, GR.
