If it wasn't for Harry Potter, Kill Bill 1+2 and Lord of the rings, I would have given up on the film industry all together.

How old are you? 12?

I like Bruce Willis but that film was corn on steroids.

Did you really understand what the Kill bill films were meant to be about. Terrence Tarantino explains it in the extra disc and it shows you how much work and thought went into those films.

Forget the story...Look at the brush strokes. 8)

You will do better to here it from the man himself but here goes:

T Tarantino loves Spaghetti Westerns and Kung Fu films. He sits for hours in his home cinema watching them and marvelling at the cinematography and he similarities between the story lines. Some one gets killed and then the revenge starts. I don't remember who said it but there are only a couple of stories that have ever been told and they are based around revenge and love.
Anyway, What he has done with Kill Bill is taken all these films and merged them into one fantastic film. He wanted to be different with the one who does the revenge bit, which is usually; woman gets killed and the man does the revenge, so he has a woman doing the revenge bit. He then uses all the myths and legends surrounding martial arts and uses them. He has to put them in the 21st century though and the mix of old and new can be seen in the heroin carrying a Samurai sword into airports and through the streets when this would have been an everyday scene in old China. He also wanted to capture the experience of sitting in a cinema in the 70s when Kung Fu films were popular. You can see bits of Bruce Lee films in there too. I will not tell you too much more because if you watch it again and sit it out you will see things that you never saw before and hopefully enjoy it this time round. Be aware of the sound track too. This is very deliberate. So is the references to Clint Eastwood and his films

I hope you decide to give it another go with all these facts in mind and I really hope it makes a difference.

Enjoy.
