Makazine, u have asked so many questions about Cyprus, I dont think you need to visit it anymore..why dont u just leave few things to discover there ??

U remind me an American student of mine who asked me ''if the Aegean Sea is salty too'' :)

By the way , Nigeria is a cool place, r u Ibo, Yoruba or Hausa?? have u read Okokgwo's story?? it was 1 of my favourite..

Makazine, be prepared for some attitude because you're an American. I get it in increasing doses whenever I visit my relatives. This forum will give you an idea of what I mean as it is a microcosm. My advice is to smile, remember that you're a guest, and politely state that you refrain from talking politics and religion with acquaintances. Stay focused on taking in the culture, and you'll be all set. Good luck. :)

I think that is good that she asked lots of questions...she is coming as a student and not as a tourist...if she was a tourist then she was going to have the time to explore...well as a student she need to be a bit prepared before she arrive. By the way Magazine I find it really great that you are interested about us our culture our life fashion weather etc. Good job girl i am with you always...

By the way Flitsa dont scare the poor girl...we are not that bad...and i do talk about politics religion etc in a very good way...no need to hit bite or kill anybody who doesnt agree with us...ok we are very passionate people but not up to the point to argue with a foreigner because said TRNC and not north part of Cyprus for example. Jesus...I hope magazine will not fall into the worst people.

Lena, I'm talking about global politics, not just Cypriot politics. When one is an American in CY, one tends to inevitably get dragged into a "discussion."
