makazine wrote:Well, I would just like to thank y'all for the help you have offered me. I really value all your opinions and I hope my experience in Cyprus is improved because I have been informed. Be good now..., holla to Lena, Kikapu, Karma and Birkibrisli..., keep your walking stick off of Kikapu ;).

Come and visit us in the Cyprus Problem section, dear makazine...
That is where the real action takes place.

There walking sticks are replaced by M16s,S300s,and Exocet missiles...
Hidden in those threads there are material for a dozen phd theses... :)

The material I've read so far in General Chat has some points that can be used to compose a well written essay. I will check out Cyprus Problems though... Birkibrisli, your walking stick is a rifle isn't it? Tisk, tisk

No,dear makazine...I actually do have a walking stick, but not to help me walk. But to keep the neighbouring dogs away on my daily walks... :)

Kikapu on the other hand is your friendly and international arms salesman...So keep watching him like a hawke...You have worked out by now I hope that he is not a she...And my crush is not on him.

Hello Bir,

Actually I only have ONE personal weapon. It's actually a cannon that is used for display and try-out purpose only. However, you are correct to state, that it is very much on the International Market and those who have chosen to participate to know it's capabilities, have been very satisfied, and further more, were more than willing to have repeat demonstration given to them. It is of course kept at TOP condition and is always loaded and ready to be fired. However, safety catch is always in place to avoid any PREMUTURE misfiring that will require a "moping up" operation. In short, this personal WMD has had a lot of success and will continue to do well, way into the future.

I would love to know what the "safety catch" consists of....

Hey , I got one like that but is obsolete now and redundant, just hanging around most of the time !

Sounds like a real Prick.!

No,no...don't listen to these 50-somethings talking about guns and loose cannons and safety catches...and rubber bands, dear makazine...They are really exercising their collective unconscious, wishful thinking, daydreaming and commisserating...The fact that there is at least one M16 or Ouzi submachine gun in the every GC house, and 40,000 Turkish troops with 500 tanks guarding every TC house DO NOT mean war is about to break out in the streets of Nicosia...But there are no guarantees of course...

Birkibrisli what we have home are G3s not Uzis ;) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heckler_&_Koch_G3 Don't worry makazine there are a lot of guns in Cyprus but no gun crime. Our favorite way of settling disputes is by burning each others cars at night or with self made bombs that explode using a timer or remotely by using the internals of a mobile phone. Every Cypriot knowns how to make one of those ;)

Sotos, are you serious. A breeding place for potential terrorists? Nooooo. And I have to change my retirement plans again. Too many settlers in the north, mobile timing devices in the south, the Russians underneath the ice caps. Where does one find a peaceful retirement.?
This is serious

You are right Deniz. My plot in the north pole got a huge hole right where I was building my igloo when a Russian sub emerged right at that spot! :( I think we should move to Texas the only safe place on earth. I heard some rumors that Bush is selling his ranch. What do you think?

Oh Karmacigim. You have given me a ray of hope. I couldnt stand the heat in Athens but what about Northern Greece? A small village on a mountainside wher I can see the sun rise? Any details? Please. But not too close to Macedonia, I see trouble coming from there.
