Hi Helen and David,
We hope you r move has gone well, good luck and best wishes to you. You have just done what we are only just beginning to plan to do in 4 yrs. when our daughter finishes school. We found this site while looking for info. on places to rent and cyprus life etc. We are going to the coral bay area for a holiday this xmas and want to take alittle time to access as much info. as possible.
It would be great to stay in touch and see how things work out for you.
I am 40 and my husband is 46. He will look for work in civil engineering, hes a groundworker, pipelayer, digger/dumper driver, concrete finsher etc and will need to work to cover week to week living. We plan to rent using the interest on the sale of house in uk to cover it if necessary. if things don't work out we can return to uk and rent here. Our daughter loves sport and wants to do a college sports course and maybe do lifeguard, daytime hotel entertainment or teaching in sports. I clean private houses at moment but can do gardening, sewing, ironing etc.
Can you provide us with any useful websites/contacts that you have used in your plan to move concerning:
Long term rental, finding work, guide of areas pros and cons to move to, moving personal items abroad, advice on which bank account to open etc.
Any help will be appreciated and we wish you luck!!!!!!!!!

Hello 'christmasjunkies' nice to hear from you. I'll get back to you about a few contacts once we get our computer online in Cyprus. The removal men are literally breathing down my neck so I must disconnect now!
Will be in touch
