Zan, I am talking about the war today. The war goes on today because Turkey is illegally occupying Cyprus.

If we are going to talk about the past, yes, GCs committed crimes as well which however are a drop in the ocean compared to the crimes that Turks committed against us, not to mention that the Turks are the ones who started the whole thing in the first place.

So if the Turks want to continue with the war and their crimes against us using excuses that they dig out from history, thats unfortunate, but they should at least stop the hypocrisy because it is obvious who the aggressor and who the victim is in the case of Cyprus. For your bad luck however you didn't manage to get away with crimes without consequences, and no matter how much you cry and how many lame excuses you give, the consequences will continue for as long as Turkey illegally occupies part of Cyprus.

İ am a new member. İ was wondering what Greek Cypriots are doing to help with the peace process. We all know that Turkish Cypriots voted yes to the Anan Plan and Greek Cypriots voted no. We all know they did this beacuse Greek Cyprus is recognised by the İnternational Community and lets face it because of this Greek Cypriots will always have the upper hand.

When İ think of North Cyprus İ think of another persucated group of people called Palestinians. And when İ think of Greek Cypriots İ think of another group of bullys - the people of İsreal. Yet even in İsreal there are groups of Jews who know that bullying a weaker people is wrong and so they fight for Palestian rights. What İ am wondering is whether there are any Greek Cypriots who realise that persecuting Turkish Cypriots and placing embagoes on them and rallying the whole world to hate them is wrong? İf so are any of these Greek Cypriots doing anything to highlight Turkish Cypriots rights and therefore bringing peace a step closer? İs there an organisation out there that has been formed to help Turkish Cypriots? İf not why don t you start one?

Can the Turks get more hypocrites than that? The ones who are prosecuted are the Greek Cypriots. Do you know BelloTurco that the northern part of Cyprus is the home of 5 times more Greek Cypriots than Turkish Cypriots and that Turkey has ethnically cleansed all those Greek Cypriots in an attempt to create a Turkish state in Cyprus?

The example you gave with Israel / Palestinians is the opposite. In our case it is Turkey who is using its military power to illegally occupy land that belongs to Cyprus.

The ethnic cleansing, along with the attempt to create a Turkish state in Cyprus are of course illegal. The war exists today because Turkey is illegally occupying part of Cyprus and it will end when the Turkish troops withdraw from our country, not by us signing some capitulation agreement with the invadors.

So it is up to the Turks to end the war. If they insist on continuing it then they should know that war will have a cost on them as well and stop crying about the consequences they face due to their own insistence on illegalities.

U see this is where u are so wrong. Turkey only sent troops to northern Cyprus to protect the minority population of Turkish Cypiots who lived there. Yes Turkey is stronger than Greece and Greek Cyprus when it comes to arms but we all know that u are able to play the propaganda game so much better. U have managed to make Turks and Turkey look bad when all Turkey did was protect the population of Turkish Cypriots on the İsland. U say there are more Greek Cypriots in Northern Cyprus than Turkish Cypriots that s crap. İ live here and the Greek population is very small.
