How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

In relation to the recent debacle with the football. I believe it would be appropriate for the RoC football teams to invite Turkish speaking Cypriot players to join them on teams and play together representing Cyprus and Cypriots. :)

Look at it this way humanist:

Half the team -settlers
Coach- settler.
Team leader-settler

So with which TCs are we going to play?

Despite the fact that you have a point here it would be a very good test of Tallat's office policy in case some TCs players were asked to participate in the National team of Cyprus.

The recent rugby international ( March 24th ) against Greece featured a TC with no problems at all. He is accepted as a team mate in which we all have a common goal to represent Cyprus to the best of our abilities. Sport should be used for political reasons.

Nobody's posted any Rugby news after that win against Greece... has anything interesting happened since?

We have resumed training again for three international matches coming up in Cyprus in October. I think we will be playing one game in Paphos, one in Nicosia and one in Limassol if we can get a pitch. Unfortunately Limassol Crusaders ground is not big enough for the occasion. Does anyone hold any influence with the management at Tsirion stadium? The Government has influence on pitches in Paphos and Nicosia but not Limassol it seems. I will give more details as and when developments arise.

Shouldn't there be a "not" there?

Not necessarily. May be certain people agreed with your original post that sport should be used for political ends. I am glad you rectified it. However, whether we like it or not, politics are an integral part of sport nowadays. You may get individual Turkish Cypriots play for a Cypriot national team but politics will not allow this to happen on an organised scale. Good luck with your matches.
