I didn't know some of them could speak Turkish also. That explains how the women at the Carefour Columbia fish department speak all 3 languages! I don't think it is about their IQ. They are uneducated, uncultured and they try to look macho. Thats the problem with them!

In another supermarket's delicatessen I asked one of the supervisors if it was compulsory to be able to speak Russian to be served. Much to the annoyance of customers, an English customer being particularly vociferous, the three girls behind the counter ignored the queue and served only those who spoke to them in Russian. It appears that in this country speaking the indigenous languages of Greek and Turkish will soon become obsolete. All you will need to survive is a good knowledge of Russian and English.

Hitler was a pussy cat compared to some of these people and Pyro seems to be the worste of them. Do they read their own newspapers or have they seen the way the GCs perform over in the UK. In the 70s and more in the 80s, if you wanted a new stereo for your car you would always get one from a drug smoking thieving GC or TC that needed the money to gamble. Most of the time the stereos came out of the cars of hard working people like me and the damage those punks did to the car cost more than the stereo. Take a look at the news section of this forum and see the youth drug problem in the south and then you can single out a race of people and feel shame in your own. The IQ of those that use the term seems to be at its lowest on this forum.

Well convince me I am wrong and I will admit I am racist. I know very well people from all ethnicities. I can tell a person from Bangladesh is uneducated and that's why he or she performs low in this or that. However imo a Pontian simply lacks common sense.
This anti-racist "politeness" assumes that all people are the same. They are NOT. Furthermore racism implies you are going to use the negatives of a group of people as a basis of negative discrimination against them or as a basis to take away their rights.

I said before that GC, Pontians, or Asians with EXPERIENCE in placing tiles (because THEY DO THIS JOB at construction sites) ask for substantially different money -BY THEMSELVES- so is that because of racism against them or is it because they themselves VALUE themselves at that?

Anyway those who think this is a RACIST discussion are free to open a new topic and discuss it there. In this topic I want to know what you think the IQ of the Pontians is (remember IQ has nothing to do with education) and also what is the IQ of settlers -I remind you the TCs call them "I am an idiot". So far we received no comments for them....

This is the first incident that happened to me that made me question the IQ of Pontians:
I was at a place where they bought a bed mattress. They had the option to either pay some extra to have it delivered at their home or carry it by themselves. All they had was a small 2 door saloon car in which they could hardly fit in themselves. They were trying for almost half an hour under the hot sun to fold the bed mattress in two and push it inside the rear of the tiny car! Notice the mattress was full of springs inside and weighed about 40 Kg. And all this time they were talking and discussing like hell as if they would solve the Cyprob In the end they broke the mattress....
There were people there telling them "What are you doing, are you crazy, this mattress simply doesn't fit", but they wouldn't listen.

Another incident that happened just yesterday:I was waiting the green light at the traffic lights. The driver of the car next to me waved me to open the window to ask something. I did and he asked where xx supermarket was. I showed it to him it was about 200 meters after he would turn left from the traffic lights where he and me were waiting. The man asked me again if he should turn left !!! I started getting puzzled thinking to myself what the hell is this guy talking about. I said sure how else would you go there! Left you must go of course.

And what did he do for Christ sake? He did turn left immediately while it was still red light.

If your "IQ" can handle it then consider this Einstien....You guys will not employ these people because you think they have a low IQ so they drop their prices and get you to employ them because they are cheaper. They work and you pay. You pay in more than one way because your guys up their prices because they are now considered to be the elite. In the end you wish you had employed more of the so called idiots.

In other words what the hell has supply and demand got to do with IQ. If you guys cannot see the difference and you think you have a higher IQ then what chance do they stand. I think you are confusing IQ with how much information you can hold. I think it was Einstien that said he commited nothing to memory because it left his mind clear for thinking. Hi Pyr,

I will explain. The ng is for Newington Green. My father had a shop back in 1966 in this part of North London. I came for a holiday to Cyprus and a friend of mine asked for my contact details as he was planning of coming to the UK. As a joke I said just jump into any taxi and tell the driver to take you to M***h R*****m from Newington Green. To this day whwnever most friends see me in Cyprus we hug and they say "MR from NG welcome to Cyprus.

As for the Pontians, my friend it certainly isn't accidental that there are so many jokes about them. Here in England we have the Irish and in Turkey they have the LAZ.

I think the topic is a good one and adds a bit of humour, IMHO not racist at all.
