UK TURKISH CYPRIOTS

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

UK TURKISH CYPRIOTS

Postby miltiades » Fri Jul 27, 2007 10:43 pm

Having been doing business with T/Cs involved in the Catering and Hospitality Industry for many years now I have to say , hand on my heart , that they have been not only good customers but honourable and trustworthy people whose word is their bond. I have T/C customers that I have been serving for many years now , have given credit to them and never lost a penny . We service many restaurants , take aways and a few T/C owned Hotels and all are decent trustworthy people.
I just thought I mention this.
In case any one is wondering about the G/Cs , there are very few left in the Catering industry now , but the few that I have as customers are equally admirable in their dealings.

A customer from Polis in Paphos , a G/C who runs a number of Catering establishments including a Hotel was in the showroom today and although I do not gamble , he told me one of his racehorses was running today and it was a dead cert. It was the 3.30 Wolverhampton.
Still running !

My good friend Miltiades,

How I wish there were more GCs like you. From your first post to the present day you have been consistent in showing your love and passion for Cyprus and its inhabitants, both GC and TC. I feel very privileged to be your friend.

In the U.K ..i worked in my latter years with both Turkish Cypriots and Greek Cypriots ...both seemed to be full of bull ...hence i avoided their custom (IT BUSINESS SOLUTIONS ,SAP SOLUTIONS ,RECRUITMENT ,BANKING )

But if we are looking at character and custom ... the Turkish Cypriots were more honourable and respectful when payng on time and doing business .

certainly in the last 3 years now living in cyprus .. i struggle to meet ,honourable ,professional ,intelligent Greek Business persons ...most seem to blow hot air ,boast about £££ and have little expertise in their fields ...i could list via C.I.M companies on both sides of the line south and North ..who have failed by Cypriot mismanagement ...note i am referring to some 70% ...the other 30% are good guys...

as the Arabs say ..a lier is always thirsty ...

I share your observation on the T/Cs paying habits .I never lost a penny , neither have I ever rung one asking for settlement of an outstanding account. I have also observed over the years that whenever I have paid a personal visit at a T/C catering establishment I have been most welcomed and made to feel really great. My line of business of course does put me in daily touch with our T/C community here in the UK , I also have as I posted earlier a small number of G/Cs as customers and again I can not praise them enough. This is why I continually proclaim
LONG LIVE CYPRUS AND MAY THE SOUVLA REMAIN THE KING , OR IS IT THE QUEEN !!
