well said...i echo your belief and views on this subject,i too grew up in the U.K ..The Greek CYPRIOT community has achieved amazing goals in business ,IT commerce ,banking ,law etc in the U.K and now most are coming here to bring their expertise (like me ) ..i am glad to see brits ,canadians ,russians coming here ........i miss england ..and its people .. ...the structure ,the research and planning before the organising of any event/article and service was admirable ..hopefully one day cyprus will be like that ..especially when tackling our "limited water supply issues over the next 10 years "
Im pleased to read your comments especially this > "" i miss england ..and its people .. ...the structure ,the research and planning before the organising of any event/article and service was admirable """"
They are masters of organizational procedures and as you and I grew up in the UK and took the time to understand and get to know the Brits we can appreciate the wealth of this nation not only in terms of financial commodities but in organizational structures. Not everything goes according to plan but most do.
We have lived and worked amongst them for many years and we can see that many of their ways are admirable lets emulate their finest ways in Cyprus , not forgetting that our Cypriot civil service is based on the British system , as well as many other social and financial structures too.
ps.I was pleased to see Theo Pafitis , one of the most successful high profile Cypriot businessmen taking part in a new TV programme. He is such a character and such an absolute gentleman and very rich ! I'm pleased also that he is first and foremost a Cypriot !!
